It no longer has slash in it’s description, is it just strike now?
I think so. I remember the whole effectiveness on armour types was really awkward when it was still both (since it used to be a fake multihit, so it was accounting both slash and strike in one go).
Since it’s actual multihit now and only mentions strike I’m fairly sure it’s just strike, yes. I could be wrong though, it’s been a long time since I checked out Butterfly.

Umbo Thrust works with bosses?
My tank with 130 STR does about 800+ each hit, so around 2500 total. Against plate armor it would do more.
Pururu is right, it’s a true multi-hit so each hit is roughly the same damage.
That doesn’t sound right, my umbo blow lv10 with 0 str at level 75 is dealing over 1k damage.

Maybe he is hitting uhh…cloth? Leather? Forgot which one strike does less to. My tank only has 52 str and each butterfly hit does roughly 2400 vs plate so something is really off with butterfly only doing 800+ per hit.
Well, I basically became a pelt3 at 79 and was already dealing 1.3k-2.2k on leather monsters which take 50% less from strike.
