PD Solo PvE Build

Hello, I returned to play TOS and I was looking for a solo PvE for Plague Doctor. Reading some info. in the forum says that these are good builds:

Cleric2 | Diev3 | Miko | Plague Doctor2

Cleric2 | Bokor3 | Miko | Plague Doctor2

Are still viable? I don’t know nothing about Miko class. :pensive:

Thanks!

Well, for what I know (and read on forum) :

  • Diev3 : more of a support with only 2 dmg skills (Carve Attack is really cool at the beginning, but become useless if you go int and Carve Owl is really strong for int build, but a long cooldown), but you have Ausrine for example which is really strong as a support

  • Bokor3 : more offensive, but I think people take bokor3 (and not 2) if they want to play with zombies (because of Damballa which is really strong). If you want to play with Effigy, it seems that bokor2 is enough (I test it, it’s really mana hungry ^^’), and then you can take diev1 for the mana statue, pardoner for Discerning Evil, or someting else

I can’t comment on Miko class as I never played it, so that was just my two cents, I let someone else give better advices

couldn’t comment too much on bokor but I have played diev and miko albeit on separate build.

-Diev playstyle is really strong on stationary and stronger the longer fight goes on thanks to clap and statues but really bad if you keep moving around. PD2 can cover better with incineration and black death steam later on

-Bokor is SP hungry but can clear mobs faster with samedieve and hexing + effigy combo or so I heard

I tried a really long fight with a bokor (a world boss in solo), and it was really horrible in term of SP, I had to eat SP potion every time they were off cooldown.
But it’s so much easier for questing and moving for example because you can kill the mobs without worrying for your cooldown (except SP potion, but it’s manageable if you sit every 10s).
I have a Cleric2 | Bokor2 | Diev1 and I think I will take Diev2 before PD2 so I can play have stronger tools for support and for long fights. (but Diev1 is so useful for warp, I really miss it on my wizard  )

I play a Lv 245 Cleric2 | Bokor3 | Miko | Plague Doctor1 (hopefully PD2 this weekend)

It is pretty decent for solo-play, but I concur that effigy is definitely an SP eater. I am lucky to have access to SP pots, which I use often. As a Bokor, I use both Effigy and Damballa quite frequently. I am curious to see how Damballa is on the higher maps with trans gears.

I am very happy I chose Miko as my R5 class; I always drop Hamaya on my Zombify circle for easy zombies; and it’s just nice to have more skills at my disposal when things are on cooldown. I also like to dance when there are 2 or more DPS Swordies in the party :D. Miko defintely added a boost to the “fun” factor for this build as effigy alone feels kind of meh until you get pandemic.

In summary, I am very pleased so far with this build for solo-play. I don’t group play that much so I can’t really comment on that other than missions and dungeons; The only thing I dislike about this build is that I play with controller & I don’t have enough slots to comfortably slot all my skills. I had to pick and choose some skills to be placed on the 2nd set q.q.

TLDR; I get to poison & hex my enemies, spread the poison & curses to nearby enemies, set them on fire, and stab my voodoo doll/ or dance while they burn. After they die, turn their corpses into zombies that explode when I command them too. Such an interesting class selection lol.

Cleric 2/ Bokor 3 / Miko / PD2 at 325 here, still a solid dps solo or party play build.

Bellow is my experience with the build.

Zombies after mid R8 content die fast, but they are used more as DPS charges with Dambala, which with my crappy gear (using Ignition +6 + 2x 6* Blue Gems and Didel Tower Shield no gems), Dambala hit by 8k+ damage.

Only use Efigy when leveling during R2 - R6, when you hit R7 you will get Incineration, get that one first then Healing Factor after, why? Because at R7 content, even with crappy gear you still can handle the damage while using heal for offense and healing, just careful with the zombies to not eating the tiles, by that time you probably have some experience on how to do it.

After R7 Efigy is more a flying mob killer when Hamaya and Incineration aren’t up.

Don’t use Gohei as DPS dealer, use it as utility (debuff removal), use Cure as DPS not as utility (only use it as utility until you get Gohei).

When you max Incineration and HF, save the rest of the points for Circle 2.

When you hit R8, you may want to rush the level to 281 (its when the exp wall decrease) netting you some more SPs to invest on your skills, so I suggest you to max HF first then with the rest of the points max Black Death Steam.

After that max Incineration and you can add 3 (or 5 if you want) points in Pandemic.

With 5 points, you will spread to more than what you can aggro, so the extra mob will be taking damage while in the aggro queue.

Things to learn while leveling:

  • Hexed enemies killed by your zombies have a chance of spawn another zombie.

  • Max wheel chair zombie attribute if you plan on use Tet Mamak La as DPS, despite being physical, it still deal a great amount of damage when spammed, but it’s not 100% that you will have 100% wheelies, if you want tanky zombies go with the giants, would be nice if IMC changed it to have a on/off switch.

  • Never forget before any fight or when you enter in a map to do quests: always put your buffs up, in our case, DM > HF > Samediev (I highly suggest you to max Samediev, it’s almost the same speed as Haste).

  • When killing a large group (including the ones in the aggro queue), drop a Zombify (it also act as debuff for Incineration timer), drop a Hamaya on top of it (most of the mob will be locked in place with Hamaya, even tho they are moving around they are in the skill so careful when dropping an Incineration), drop all your skills and for last use Dambala right in there, it will blow all the zombies in there and the next ones that spawn by its duration.

It’s a fun build to play, I would be enjoying playing it more by now if the game didn’t became so boring and this company didn’t lie so much lol.

Wasting my time on EVE and D3 for now.

does bokor good at high lvl? the mobs have high HP right?
and what skills are important for cleric2>bokor3>pardoner>pd2?
any suggestion? thanks!

My build is close to this one, when I get my hands on a skill reset I will change to this, since I wasted much points in Gohei at the time thinking it had a good DPS, but in the end, it’s just a good Cure and bad offensive skill.

@mrs.xueling

If you are going to get Pard, then this should do:

Zombies at R8 are weak, well they where since the mob hit harder before the rework, but still, they are useful as multiple tanks and the main use is for Dambala, Dambala will blow them and each, depending on what you are using, will hit from 6k+ damage each zombie.

You can readjust the skills if you like it, I took the ones I would definitely after, I had a DPS build in mind when I started the character.

ugh i hate miko cause need to do a long quest (people said like that, i haven’t tried it yet)
is it true?

It is.

Good luck with manahas. IMO this is the most annoying for me. But it does feels rewarding when completed

Yeah, and it seem to be a bit buggy right now, some people are reporting that they got all the spirits but the gohei don’t charge.
