Party members not being able to move after cutscenes STILL not fixed after FIVE MAINTENANCES!

Please fill in as much as you can :

Date and Time(Please, specify the timezone) : 27/07/2016, currently 15h00, UTC-3:00 .

Server Name: [SA] Silute

Team Name: Zetein

Character Name: Persephone, Artemis, Doctor, every character really.

Bug Description :
Parties cannot co-op during quests after cutscenes, getting stuck in place being unable to move. This can be avoided by staying a screen away from the person who will iniciate the cutscene, but it’s still very annoying because you don’t always know that a cutscene will start when you go into a certain area with your friends or start talking with an npc.

Some say this bug has been here since last month, I cannot say for sure because that was when I started playing, but this is disturbing a lot the party experience of the game in the worst possible way.

It is so absurd that in every maintenance we have hopes that this bug will be fixed and it is simply ignored. We have minor bugs being solved but this game breaking bug is just not even addressed in the “known issues” news, which is really frustrating for every player of this game.

Does IMC really cares about the problems players are running into? Because this has been our biggest problem and we don’t see a single clue of IMC doing anything about it.

Steps to reproduce the issue :

  1. Start a quest cutscene with one or more party members together.
  2. After the cutscene ends, the party members who did not iniciate the cutscene will be unable to move or use skills until they relog or change channels.

Screenshots / Video :

This video is not from me but it is the bug I am talking about. The video is one month old. And the bug still is being ignored.

Game Control Mode (Keyboard/Joypad/Mouse) : Mouse or Keyboard will make the bug happen in the same way. Not tested with Joypad but probably will still happen.

The worst thing is not even the bug itself. It’s how they are pretending that it does not exist. I’m seriously thinking of giving up on this game if this is not fixed in the next maintenance. It’s ridiculous that a bug this big is being ignored like this, not even being mentioned in the “known issues” post.

This must have the priority of being solved now. Stop ignoring us, please! We love tree of savior and we do not want to partially enjoy it. This bug is ruining the party gameplay.

I’m as appalled as you are by all this. How can a bug like this be ignored? Is the majority of players going solo, that’s why the bug isn’t bothering most of the player base? Or is this bug only occuring with a specific group of players?

I really need a serious response on this matter, not a lame, automated response like the one given in the others posts about this issue. Will it be fixed anytime soon? The devs are even aware of the issue? Is it occuring with everyone, or just a specific group?

I should note that I’m not here by myself, I represent a large group of friends (an old Ragnarok guild, to be more specific) who are all waiting for this bug to be fixed so we can play together. I just happens to be the player most comfortable with english, so I’m the one following the forums.

The fact that this is not the top priority is alarming.

My friends bought tokens to play with me and keep up, and they’ve expired by now while this gets “look into.” It’s been over a month and my friends and I can’t play an MMO together–that’s unreal.

This absolutely must be fixed.

Really big pain in the ass. I expected the repository merge update to fix it, I’m amazed nothing happened after so long.

This really is a frustrating bug that’s been in the game too long. It turns off new players who are trying ToS for the first time especially when they realize their party mates are getting ‘stuck’ when another player initiates the quest.

No staff is here, no one reads bug report.
This game is worse than a private server.

It was first addressed in this news post. https://treeofsavior.com/news/?n=512&vp=26

I don’t think that this news post was talking about being stuck after cutscenes. It seems to be rather mentioning some bug of being stuck when using the quest completion warp (when you press Backspace to deliver a quest).

Currently, this does not happen. What does happen is getting stuck after cutscenes of instances like a boss or mob waves.

Edited it out to avoid confusion. Thanks @drzetein

No post in patch notes for tomorrow about this, still. Really, really disheartening.

We apologized for any inconvenience. We would like to inform you that we are already aware of the issue you have been encountered and our development team is currently working on the issue. Though we are unable to give you an exact timetable, rest assured that your reported concern will receive the proper attention.

Don’t bother tagging the GMs, they’re just bots. In the 200 post thread about this same issue, GM_Sebastian posted the same botlike response multiple times.

I do not know what happens inside the IMC, but GMs should not take the blame, are just people doing their job. I know It is very frustrating to see problems that are never solved, and more frustrating not know at least if the IMC really know the existence of some problems or if we should report again, and again, and again.

IMC, do you have some version control system on your project, no? Them why it takes too long to solve a bug that you introduced? This is not in the history of changes? There is no one working in the bug tracker? Do you have a bug tracker? If there is, why most of the problems already reported are not in the know bugs list? That way, we users, can not know if you are at least trying to do something about it or not.

I do not understand how a game company works, but I know well how a company that depends on software development works, this leads me to think there’s something very wrong in this company, you have gold in hand and are throwing at sea

And if there really is not wrong, then we can at least know what they are currently working to explain all this lack of corrections regarding the bugs, exploits? That’s all we want to know

I had this problem to on the kalapedia sever. When I decided to start questing with a buddy again. I realized that when me and my friend first met on our mains we quested with each other for a bit and had no problems. However, we made new accounts yesterday and decided to quest together, but we both started to encounter those bugs. We didn’t have this problem last time and I was wondering why? I was irritated because whoever got stuck has to log in and out.

I finally realized that we did not have any problems with a cut scene not involving a boss. I decided to tell my friend to activate the cutscenes but made sure I was either out of the line of site or in another part of the map. This worked it would teleport me there and I had no problems moving or not completing the quest. So I kept making sure and the glitch never happened anymore.

I hope this helps, but you are on a different sever so it might not.

I wholeheartedly agree with this idea, but the temptation of not logging in is real.
