Party Finder exp buff discourages play with friends

Since we cannot queue up in pre made groups and the experience buff has everyone queuing up over the dungeon finder, it is almost impossible to run dungeons with a friend.

There is barely anybody to invite into dungeon groups since they are all using the party finder due to higher exp.

The last thing I want in a multiplayer game is to be barred out of playing with friends and family.

Please add the option to queue up in the party finder in small groups and / or bring the experience for normal groups to the same level.

Currently this is extremely discouraging and the opposite of what you want for such a game.

Just put on the quee at the same time u all will enter the same dg if you are in pt

Are you sure this works 100% and not just when there is few people in the queue?

Yup evdry time inenter a dg with my friends it works

I’ve tried this with a friend three times and it failed every single time.
The problem is it will kick you out of a group 25 times before it starts, so it might kick your friend out 20 times or just at a different time.
Doesn’t work 100% of the time - guaranteed!

I doubt it’s a 100% guarantee but it definitely would improve your chances of joining the same party. I think I’ve joined mission dungeon separately (at the same time) with my friend 4 times so far and we always got into the same party.

nope, that doesnt work half the time.

For me worked 1 out of 3 tries. All we need is that the algorithm works with parties. This is like 2h completely self written or probably about 30min Google.

By your same logic, the Party Finder encourages making new friends, so it’s a good thing. You can play with your old friends any time.

Except for the part where forming groups is super hard with everyone preferring dungeon finder, so its hard to dungeon with friends.

Also, lets be realistic : most people wont even talk in random dungeon groups.

On top of it all, if you manage to get a group going or have 4 friends on, you still are punished by not receiving the hefty exp bonus.

Sorry, but this is completely messed up.

You mean it encourages you to play with noone but random people instead of the people who are already your friends, so that when you are sitting next to each other you both play random group finder dungeons separately instead of together?

How abouts instead the random dungeon finder doesn’t disproportionately reward above what you get for a manual group so that manually finding a group, you know, by CHATTING with other people isn’t completely discouraged? Because as Calcifar said, the dungeon finder does NOT encourage you to make friends, it encourages you to be lazy and take the most convenient route, which is why the vast majority doesn’t type a single chat message throughout the entire run. The only people I have ever added to my friendslist are those I manually invited because interaction took place.

You need to brush up your communication skill. I have fun interacting with the 4 random strangers everytime.

I do agree that this game don’t really promote playing with friend within casual player for first 5 rank though.

What a asinine suggestion.

Just play with friends…

It’s actually not much differencein exp.

And if you look at time/exp done.

GOING with a party that is sure to have:
-tank
-healer
-linker
-2dps

IS better then a party of:

  • 5 dps
    -4 healer 1 dps
    -4 tanks 1 dps
    -most other fun things…#
-4 corsairs… and you as archer.
  • 5 healers

I went with friends i made ingame. After a grind party.
We finished the dungeon 145 in less then 15 minutes, with a full clear.
Before that i had random ques which took 55 mins… or 45 mins.
And even sometimes peopel 175 level in there… ruining exp duo commander fail as they could faster random que then, then trying to get in themself.

SO yes.
GOING with friends is better then random matchmaker.
In the 30~40 minutes (if you’re not total lucky with the composition of people) you will spend longer. You could easily do some grinding outside…

With good people you can get 5mio/ hour exp in a dungeon.
With bad randoms matchups your on 0~2mio/ hour on missions and dungeons.

Pick your poison.
Lottery bonus +30% exp or surefire fast runs?

Again, completely past the argumentation.

The question was never whether playing with friends lets you clear dungeons faster.

People should not be penalized for going with friends in the first place by -30% exp, it brings too many negative side effects. Furthermore should 2 friends be able queue up together.

I honestly dont even understand why you defend this practice to be honest.

Because the bonus exp is on there. So que times are faster for random casual and hardcore querers.

XD it was a move imc made.
As they wanted to go down from 15 mins ques to 3~5 minutes ques.
And easen the time spent to get into an dungeon/ mission.

That bonus isn’t even relevant… okay 30% of 3 mio exp /hour would be 1 mio exp more per hour. That saves you 20 minutes of having fun with people ingame…

Maybe try to read, and, comprehend my first post again.

Because it’s fun to random and getting fked by 4 completely random and impossible to work composition.

That’s why the 30% is justified.

The bonus exp is there because of the added challenge of clearing the dungeon with a random party rather than a pre-set party. It’s pretty much common sense. More challenge, more exp. Less challenge, less exp.

The bonus xp is perfect and should stay there.
