Party and support classes are useless

First ones at 50 But you can solo it LOL. With that said blessing/sacrament priest is the next strongest thing under our broken swordsman overlords.

@Kdchan lvl 32 is like 1-2hours of play for a person who lvls slowly. lvl 1-50 is basically tutorial try more of the game. Also i played support and it was easy to lvl (got a little slow around 70-80 but picked up again after words).

"Hi, i don’t know how the game will play at later levels, i’m actualli level 32 with both tanker and healer, but i noticed that the party in this game is useless and leveling in solo is very frustrating and boring."

A: they are certainly not useless, on the contrary for most classes partying is a very good option as it is: mana friendly, decent xp, and its good for keeping ones sanity.

"Apart the forced crappy hub grindfest quest system and linear wow progression (where is the old Ragnarok way to leveling?), field bosses and missions are pretty soloable for high DPS damage classes."

A: This is not RO. - But yeah the fact that you can AFK many bosses and instances is retarded.

"I tried to play as a tanker before and full support healer after, but everytime i ask for party nobody cares and all refuse, everybody train and quest in solo."

A: If I were around your level I would most definately party with you, and believe it or not support classes are a very big deal in instances, pvp and most likely the real endgame.

"As a full support player i have really hard time killing bosses or questing, is a hell in solo without a support party."

A: IF you have a really hard time killing bosses - wouldn’t that make the game more fun, since its challenging or maybe you’re not into that sort of stuff?

tl;dr

Play this game abit more, I think you will change your mind about most of the things you’ve wrote, and maybe just maybe you’ll even find some friends that wish to party with you.

I really need to know what class you play as because no, you can not solo the level 50 instance at level 50. Not even at 60. 70 would still be pushing it. Stuff is hella tanky and they all hit like a truck.

Krivis (at that time) and yes you can solo it. Its slow but very doable

How long for a run? I just can’t see that being a reasonably fast run whatsoever, since even a party of 5 with linker and all that still takes about 10 minutes on average.

Sure, anything is soloable if you take an hour by luring one or two mobs at a time. That’s not really how most people want to spend their time though.

It wasn’t so much i wanted to do it it was a more of a “HEY WHATS THIS BOX” and in the dungeon i went lol and yea it was like 40min

actually support and tanker class are just for leveling easier when making a party, without them you can still be fine. Most of class can be solo without any problem.

Not so much for grinding supports pretty useless till like magetower ish areas the swordsman with taunt are GREAT for grinding buddys though

Tenet Chapel? Well not sure if you did solo cause I can’t with my barbarian (STR DEX build) cause they’re hard as a rock and bishslaps you to oblivion. The only thing that saved me and boost me up was a party adopted me at that time. Not sure if they’re magic based attack cause I did take a lot of damage and peed a lil.

I did it solo with my Barbarian when I was abit above the required level just to see if it was doable.

It took quite some time and alot of pots, but it is very doable - I will upload it on youtube when I find the time.

That is false. There is no (pre-renewal)“RO leveling” in ToS at all. You will have severe penalties if you try go to location with much higher lvl mobs, even if you manage to kill them - there is no profit for doing so.

As for the topic itself: clerics are able to level just fine and starting from lvl 50 they are one of the most needed class in dungeons because you can do them without tank, but doing them without support/heals will take way too much time (but still possible).

what penalties as far as i understand the xp penalty is on mobs BELOW your lvl

damage penalties, on both mobs (you do 1 dmg, if you manage to hit at all) and on you (you probably die from 1 hit). Even if you manage to kill them - they dont give much more exp as mobs of your own level (thanks to “unique” exp curve from IMC).

Cleric and Archer are worth it more later on, imo. They are quite boring and not fun to play until Rank 4 and above; that is where these classes truly shine. While, most mages and warrior classes are amazing, strong and fun early on, some people might find their options boring. Also, you ARE at the start of the game, like you said. People really don’t look for parties unless it’s for a dungeon, or it’s in a tough area (even for the OP classes) where bosses take long to kill if you solo them.

The other day I was happily grinding around Tenent Garden. As a future Bokor who can only play a few hours a day, I am a bit frustrated on grinding but well no pain, no gain. I did however meet a lovely party. They seemed to be in a bind since their lovely archer was in poor health!! As a knight in shining armor, I healed her and even gave them that fire/torch skill (still not sure how to spell it). They then proceeded to invite me to a party. But alas I had declined the offer because I had to finish my report for my boss.

OT: I do think the game is a bit too grindy and hope they improve it but as for now I think it’s fine. As for parties, I never requested to join any party once. Most of the time I meet them on the field and after a while they decide to invite me. Really good people.
