Pardoner's Oblation Skill - I don't understand it

So, what’s the skill ‘Oblation’ about?
What’s the sense of it?

The pardoner buys an item for less than the shop npc would, then you can either sell it to the shop npc for a small profit or keep it because oblation item count boosts your indulgentia damage by 1 point per item.

you will open a “Shop” that only buys items

  • this shop can only be open near a Goddess Statue
  • the shop can hold items up to (100 x skill lvl)
  • items bought by this can only be ‘sell all’ to NPC Merchant and you can’t reuse or touch them
  • main purpose of this skill is to boost ur Indulgentias Damage
  • also it makes ur party trash loot to be sold without returning to a City for continues grind

Edit: the Buying Price of items is Fixed and lower than the NPC Vendor price
