Pardoners shouldnât be able to make spell scrolls for skills that define classes. Hell Pardoner should be removed like Centurion lol.
I think that instead of making weaker versions or anything it should be simply reworked into something else.
Like still making scrolls but for kind of buffs/utility that only Pardoner has instead of just taking skills from others.
The definition of Pardoner is according to the free dictionary:
A medieval ecclesiastic or layman authorized to raise money for religious works by granting papal indulgences to contributors.
So maybe instead of making scrolls of the classes, make new skills that could be made into these scrolls, those would be the âindulgencesâ granted to contributors (players), since atm they do have an ability called Indulgentia but itâs a Pardoner ability to remove status ailments.
Or also making a new ability and forget about Simony, which would be like a combination of Oblation and Spell Shop, so instead of selling scrolls, people would contribute with donations and in return you would give your indulgentia to the contributor which would be the buffs that you could give, which would be new and only Pardoner buffs, such as higher dmg against dark types to âpurify their sinsâ and stuff like that.
That way it could be like something unique for Pardoners, you donate to them and in exchange you get their blessing through indulgentias.

People donât use the donation box for a reason. Its just not even worth it now and it wonât be worth it for the Pardoner that way either.
The way the donation box works is that players get money for the item a little less than what the NPC would pay and Pardoners can only sell those items to NPC to make a profit thatâs not even worth mentioning. People like to use the market for a reason. I think Oblation needs to be changed entirely. Any kind of donate x item wonât be profitable unless itâs a very specific item and at that point just make it silver. Iâd rather see this removed and replaced with another combat skill.
I like the idea of Spell Shop still but maybe they could make the spells unique and instead of using priest items youâd just buy licenses from the Pardoner Master. Such as healing HP to full, healing SP to full but only able to sell those two in town so it doesnât interfere with potions.
People like getting buffs to level faster from the Pardoner maybe they can do stuff like increase matk, increase exp gained by 5% (or another small percent to not interfere with the cash shop item), immunity to money/gem penalty for the duration of buff, add a holy property atk similar to what arde dagger can do, increase the drop rate of rare items by x%, increase the encounter rate of rare mobs by x% (silver, gold, and blue), and so on.

I donât know if a complete rework is necessary but even reducing the duration and effectiveness (or level) of scrolls would be helpful in redeeming krivis/paladin/oracle.
pardoner should create weaker skill. having access to our skill is good enough. having it last longer is terrible for us and it having it use by anyone is even worst.
I agree that Pardoner shouldnât be able to scroll C3 skills, it makes no sense that just a scroll can make a class pretty obsolete.
I accept that Pardoner should not be able to create a C3 skill scroll or IMC just add another unique skill to Pally instead such as Devotion (from RO) that Pally could absorb damage from party members so that will make Pally be more tanker as it is defensive class
From what I gather, Pallyâs problems are more general, Barrier isnât really relevant to it unless you know youâre going to ET or you want it for Pardoner anyway. If Paladin was going to be buffed, itâd be elsewhere. But it also seems his DPS + support total abilities arenât bad with Monk 1 Double Fist (considerig Conviction applies to it and itâs a great filler inbetween Smite cooldowns)âŚ
Also Oracle does have important skills that canât be scrolled, most importantly Counter Skill, so itâs not like that class is dead eitherâŚ
RIP people going Priest 3 and Krivis 1 for Daino though. A lot of peopleâd still go for Krivis 1 anyway because theyâre on a budget, but if you have the money or your own PardonerâŚ
