Pardoner Blessing has a Attack Count Limit

Many people complain in-game that the pardoner’s blessing “disappears” after some minutes and do not last the 50+ minutes warranted.

The reason for that is that Blessing has charges. At lvl 15 with the Attack Count attribute maxed(which grants more blessing attacks) you have 180 attacks with Blessing. After that, no matter how many more minutes the buff still has to run out, if you have no more charges, it’s over.

For that reason, Pardoner’s Sacrament is perfectly fine. It lasts 1h as expected, but Blessing lasts less than 20 minutes.

Hope this answer some “bug reports” flying around.

Blessing lasts less than 5 minutes let’s be real here.

Here i thought pardoners would be the answer to levelling healers and tanks outside instances… Sacrament by itself is useless. Blessing as it stands is useless too.

sigh…

eh, they work.

you just have to remember to recast them.
…and not get them at just level 1 either.

although, yea, i agree… i really dislike this “limited number of hits” idea. if you wanted the buffs to last a short time, just make them have a short duration, like 2-3 minutes. i think a 5 or 10 minute duration for most buffs would be just about perfect… not so bad that you’re endlessly recasting it, but enough to keep a FS type somewhat occupied at rest breaks.

Regular blessing only lasts 55 seconds tho.

in fact, 45 seconds. which is… yea, exactly what i’m talking about.

they’re usable… especially if you’re an FS type build… but it’s bloody annoying to have to constantly recast them if you’re actually doing something else, like fighting.

I think it isn’t a bug. Original Priest’s Blessing has limit attack counts, so Pardoner’s Blessing from spell shop inherit the same property…

FYI : Priest’s Sacrament last 4 minutes which has no attack counts.

But the original priest Blessing has 100-180 attacks to be used in a 45s window, which is impossible to exhaust.

I never ran out of blessing due to attacks unless blessing was level 1-3… even without the attack count attribute.

The issue is that while both blessing and sacrament have similar “costs” to the pardoner, only sacrament is truly viable to be bought from a pardoner.

You buy it and it lasts for one hour. End of the story. those 2,5-4k silver you spend are worth a 1h buff.

A fully maxed lvl 15 blessing has a 180 attack count… however in the pardoner shop the duration of the buff is 1 hour, instead of 45s of a normal priest buff. It still costs 2,5k-4k silver.

However, if you are grinding or cleaning every mob in front you during questing, blessing won’t last you even 10 minutes, due to the number of attacks you have (180), despite it’s glorious duration (1 hour).

The biggest problem with this is that if you are levelling a healer or a tank for instance and you need blessing, you have to run to klaipeda every 5-10 minutes for a recast of blessing, which is tedious as ■■■■…
Either make the buff 10x more expensive so we can have a really 1 hour blessing or make it available to be used in scrolls (haven’t seen one until now in ToS)

idk who you’re trying to convince…
we all agreed with you: most buffs are severely crippled by their duration/ atk limit.

anyway, if you’re leveling a healer, you should take Priest as your 2nd rank and just bless yourself.
if you’re leveling a tank, you’re probably a swordy, and you have Gung Ho and Concentration already to make up for it.

it isn’t like you absolutely -need- it, it’s just handy to have.
