Currently doing C2 Priest, worth it to go C3 Priest? wondering which path is recommend which is better for Solo?
Even though it’s defensive can Paladin still kill relatively quickly?
a C1 paladin can kill mobs faster than a C3 Priest.
Your blessing on C3 only gets +20 damage, where with Sacrament is +40.
on a Paladin they get an offensive skill called Smite that can do up to 1700+ damage depending on the mobs.
Regardless its not whether they can kill better, its what skill you want to have.
Do you want Stone skin (Increased Block Rate) or do you want Restoration(HP and SP Recovery) and Smite?
Go Paladin. Smite at lvl one has me hitting mobs for 1500 minimum. That’s with CON SPR build.
1500 minimum on enemies that take a high damage to strike(blunt) type(and some just take a high dmg for being weak against holy/etc…etc…etc…). Smite damage is really bad when the damage isn’t amplified, tho, most of the time it is amplified.
@joelmcgrattan Your blessing at Priest C2 will get +150 dmg at the max level+attributes, at C3 it will get up to 170. It’s something, but it’s up to you if you want a little bit of burst damage on smite/turn undead and more sustain overall with restoration. Personally I find Paladin very fun to play, and is definitely better to solo than a priest.

Priest C2 Blessing gets up to +150. C3 is +170. the difference is a base of 20 points, 40 with sacrament. Not worth it just for blessing alone.
Your right but Paladin is so fun to play. The animation on Smite is priceless.
