Paladin - Skill Resist Elements really worth it?

Paladin - Skill Resist Elements

Is this skill a good defense against magic, specially on PVP?
I see many people complaining against easily be frosen by Cryomancers, or receive too much damage from magicians in general. Is this Skill a good defense?
Also, in comparicion with the equipment magic defense, this really worth it?

I dont care much about what this do to the enemy, since I’m not a magician, but how much this can add on my defenses.

Skill Description:
Temporarily increases the Fire, Ice, Lightning, Poison and Earth property resistances of you and your party members and has a chance of nullifying the listed property attacks. Decreases the magic defense of nearby enemies on cast.

On Skill Level 5:

Can you guys give me any info about this skill, because I may do a Paladin just to get it.

It’s pretty solid, but you need to max it and it’s attribute out. The main thing is it gives you +20% chance to nullify spells. I’m only paladin 1 so I haven’t gotten the chance to try it at a high level though.

Any way I want only to make Paladin 1, after that I will focus only on the Monk class.
