P2P & F2P comments and opinion

Hi everyone, i am very alarmed with the sentiments of a few group of people who are anticipating f2p tos. Comments such as “Spending a single dime in tos is stu**d” and “its a f2p game, we don’t need to spend money”.

For everyones information. Tree of savior is a game in our perspective. While in the eyes of imc/developers and publisher. It’s all business. If a business does not earn and ends up being subsidised. The game won’t last. Or at the very least, have its contract renewed.

This needs to be disseminated to everyone. I respect all f2p users, but we all should do our part in helping IMC to sustain their game.

Without players who spend money in ToS. I believe ToS will close. Yes, IMC has other games. But subsidizing ToS will only delay its closure. Take note on the spending’s below

Salary of employees (minimum wage in America = $15 per hour)
Server Upkeep
Amazon Subscription (Or VIX and Gateway)
Business location rental for business operations
Depreciation rate of Material assets
Electricity Bill
Association Dues
Internet Connection Bills
Other Variable and Fixed Costs

Who do you think will pay for these if we don’t support the game?

Would like to hear the comments and/or opinion of an anticipating f2p player after realizing costs to run the game.

Did you just self-censor the word “stupid” in your post?

Yes, why? I’d like to keep it clean. No profanity.

A business does not deserve support simply because it is a business. If someone feels like what they would be getting what is not worth their hard earned money then they are perfectly fine to not spend it.

If they want support than they need to make sure their product is worth supporting.

Side note - Minimum wage in 95% of America is far lower than $15 an hour.

f2p games make their profit from “whales” even if most people dont spend a dime, you just need a small amount to spend a bunch

However, with the premium TP items being untradable and such there may not be that many whales

Thanks for your input. If i remembered correctly burger flippers at mcdonalds earn 15 dollars an hour so i assumed that is the amount. Thanks again!

Just what kind of country are you living in. The minimum wage in my country is not even 1 dollar per hour.

Seriously, even a PhD holder wouldn’t get 15 dollar per hour here easily. I envy you.

Thanks conversion rate.

Between a subscription-based and f2p MMOs, there are more revenue on the free-to-play model.

There are a majority of people in a f2p game that spends way more than $15 (standard subscription price)- some spends thousands of dollars a month!

In terms of ToS, it’s not completely free-to-play. It’s similar to SWTOR and other hybrid MMOs out there with cash shop. For free-to-play players, they will not be able to enjoy ToS due to the restriction, unless you purchase a token. Now, many will say that they can purchase it on the market… Well, that may be true, though there are those people that actually buys those token to be put up on the market for easy silver, so that means there are still generated income for IMC.

when they take off the stupid Restrictions and the 2 damn days waiting on market to get our silver we may help many players quit the game from the stupid Restrictions

see the numbers we was over 25k players now 10k or lil more
where did they go ???
i was watching it for 2 weeks now the number are droping like hell don’t tell me bot and seller what are they more than normal players in the game hell NO

You compare numbers from different time, plus there was a 24 hour maintenence on Orsha and Klaipedia.

However i agree, that player population has decreased. But not to 10k, more likely to 18k. Thats average online now.

$15 an hour is only in like 3 cities in the entire nation. Most McDonald employees make the minimum $7.25.
