Its from a guild mission if i am not mistaken, and it is a pain in the ass to keep it alive.

It is a pet, like another companion i think, you can mount it if you have the skill/class for it i think.
But you can only obtain it through guild missions, not sure which one is since i am not in a guild.
@Rob-Mar That is one hell of a hamster i would love to have as pet LOL. And yeah, the feeling is probably the same to take care of the hamster OP is interested about lol.

Guild level seven mission. Level 285 bosses (low HP, high damage), survive for a few minutes (easy), destroy the objects (easy), destroy the objects while protecting the thing (can be tough, bring Barrier scrolls). Mission is buggy. Some people can see the arrow to enter the instance in Mage Tower 4/F, some cannot. Try every day. This is mostly the limiting factor preventing people from getting eggs, outside of incubation period. Two hour time limit inside the instance, doable with at least one 275+ DPS and a few other people. Destroying the objects mission everyone does one damage against the structure anyways.
Chance of Guinea Pig Egg, or x3 Talt. The egg is much more common, from sample size of like 15-20 runs across a few guilds.
Egg assigned to guild stash. Guild leader chooses who it goes to, sends it to their mail in lodge.
Egg used in Guild Tower, baby guinea pig. Baby guinea pig must be fed with Companion Food from NPC, at least once every eight or so hours. Seems it can survive 12 hours without food - wouldn’t risk it.
If not fed and bar depletes to nothing, guinea pig is dead. You must remove it’s corpse after. Depressing. Guinea Pig can also be overfed and die of too much food. I think that’s how I’d like to go. It can also be dead if your tower is destroyed. Don’t incubate during war. It can also be dead if your tower expires (one week, always) and no one is there to replace it. Seems that you can refresh/replace the tower and as long as the bar hasn’t depleted in that time, it will still be there.
The time still runs during maintenance. Please account for the four or more (you know those emergency maintenance extensions) hours where you cannot feed the guinea pig but the bar still depletes.
After 120 hours, if properly fed, grows into an adult guinea pig and can be adopted by the person who placed it. Requires a character slot. Note, anyone (even outside the guild) can feed the guinea pig. Anyone (even outside the guild) can also click an option to release it back into the wild (effectively same as dead). Lock your tower while incubating.
Food doesn’t exist for it, for those who want to use it for real. Obtained from guild missions likely that don’t work. Cannot be fed with Companion Food from NPC.
Expires after 1’080 hours, or 45 days, even while logged out. In kTOS, all classes can mount it, and it has no expiration date. Pray that patch comes to here soon, or there will be many guinea pig funerals.
Cataphract and Shwartz Reiter can currently mount it.

The mission itself is bugged, only “chosen ones” can enter. We’ve tried entering the raid but so far only the exact same people who see the arrow can go in everytime so your character is technically “bugged”.
Asked around aswell, they said that for other players to go in they have to create a new char and hopefully that character can see the arrow sign.
tldr; mission is bugged, get a lot of people to see who can and can’t enter.
