Its no suggestion, in KOBT are no longer exp bonus given with overkills.

but you can party with people who can overkill and group mobs for them to over kill. Which means more xp for you as well.
players that could overkill easily dont require/want to party because party slows them down and they have to share exp. That was one of the reasons behind the rage on HL/zerkers during iCBT2.
Good for berzerkers, they are awful late game so jokes on them. Most of the good over killers are fragile or bad a grouping enemies, so having party members good for such a task goes a long way in increasing their lvling speed.
Yes, honestly the overkill bonus wasn’t a big deal, many of a classes that can easy overkill early game drops like a stone when they hit the level 200 mark which is where the real game begins let’s be honest.
