“Notebook” you got ur answer dude… feel sorry for you

Get a can of compressed air or a vaccuum, and put it next to the heat vent at the side or bottom of the laptop, then set everything to normal/low quality… problem solved

I remember reading about something like this before, and it was because for some reason the ToS title screen FPS is unlocked and it taxes your hardware unnecessarily. I think the guy fixed it by enabling vsync.

Try this:

Right click on Tree of Savior in your steam library, go to “Properties”, click on the “Local Files” tab and then click the “Browse Local Files” button. This will bring you to the folder ToS is installed in. Now open the folder called “release” and right click the file “user.xml” and open it with Notepad. Ctrl + F and search for “vsync” in this document, if you find something like VSync=“0” change the 0 into a 1. Save and restart ToS.

If its already a 1 then this isn’t your problem unfortunately. =/

Did you check the Termal Paste (Or something like that, i don’t know how is called in english) I changed that thing on my girlfriend Notebook and now it’s does not overheat at all. Also clean the dust.

Notebooks have the air flow of a damn gas chamber, that’s why. There’s not much you can do to remedy this.

Try to change the energy options. In the advanced energy options you can manage how much % from your processor shall be used.
If it is really because of overheating, changing that number from 100% to 50% should solve the issue.
