Otrava + Animus interaction

I got a bit lucky today and got both otrava and animus in the 217 dungeon.

I tried to equip both and noticed that the order of equipment has a different effect on my stats

Case 1: Animus -> Otrava. Yields 151 magic amp

Case 2: Otrava -> Animus. Yields 130 magic amp.

Is this interaction some kind of bug? Do I really get a higher magic amp if I did case 1? I also noticed that when I warp to somewhere or relog, case 2 is the default status.

Last question is the added 77 phy def of otrava worth it for the damage lost compared to arde dagger?

yep, since you have to equip them in order since the second order allow you to have extra 5 hp recover rate, while the first one didn’t

That’s not a unique interaction between Otrava and Animus, but rather how the Animus works.

The Animus snapshots your current hp recovery at the time of wearing the animus, and does not consider any hp recovery gear after equipping the animus. This is also reset at every loading screen.

+3 otrava gives 89 pdef if im not wrong. thats good enough to replace the arde IMO.

Thanks looks like I will do weapon switching to gain more from animus + otrava.
