Tree of Savior is a good game so far, I think over 78% of the fanbase can agree to that. The gameplay, quests, interface, and most importantly, the story.
Some good Korean MMOs have a basis somewhere and spin-off somewhere expanding on the story; Ragnarok has the manwha, other spin-off games, and even an anime adaptation, while Lime Odyssey has a webtoon to its name. Beyond Korea there are other games that get other media adaptations or originated thereof like novelizations and cartoons, from Dofus and Wakfu to World of Warcraft to DC Online.
What do you think would be good for Tree of Savior if it ever gets bigger and expands its potential?
Personally, I wouldn’t really be a fan of a manwha or webtoon that basically usurps the player’s position as the “Savior”, but an origin one-shot comic would be enough while keeping things vague for us to discover in the game, or a spin-off comic like the story of Modestas. An animated adaptation would be okay, maybe from the view of an NPC? If that were to happen I’d like it to be a good adaptation that doesn’t really affect or reveal the final endgame of the overall plot of the game which is still up to the players to finish, like in Ragnarok the Animation where the group goes to defeat what is only one MVP among many in the game, as compared to Wakfu, where they defeat the “Final Boss” and somehow takes away that sense of accomplishment as a player and character.
