Since the developers decided to change the effect of Death Sentence and then nerfed their proposed changes again although there is a damage cap, I’ve though of ways to improve/save the skill.
Here is what I’ve come up with:
1st of all, there needs to be a difference between going Oracle C2 and Oracle C3 in the skills performance besides the damage improvement.
To provide a sulotion that everyone can live with and that’s easy to introduce is by recycling the old attribute
Death Sentence: Reduced Cooldown
The effect needs to be readjusted, but I guess that having it reduce the CD time of Death Sentence by 25% is a good start.
Next, I’d like to introduce a new Death Sentence attribute for Oracle C2, based on the current changes done to Krivis’ Aukuras, which tampers a little with the skills effects.
The new attribute would be
Death Sentence: Certain Death
What this attribute does is basically reverting the skill back to the old Death Sentence, which is killing the affected enemies after the sentence is over.
The properties of the skill with the new attribute:
- AoE and amount of targets (5) is unchanged
- CD time is doubled (120 seconds)
- sentence duration is doubled (20 seconds)
- affected enemies die after the sentences duration is over
- additional damage effect for the sentences duration is removed
- SP consumption increases by 200%
- skill no longer affects boss monsters
note: this attribute has no effect in PVP
