If u want a long time debuff for PD, get Diev 1. 2 debuffs with 100% uptime
Oracle have a 10 min debuff.
hey, what u think about chaplain on high level? cus iām cleric1>priest3 right now, going SPR build and i need to choose 2 of the 4 classes to go next:
chaplain, krivis 1, oracle 1, cleric 2
(i was considering going cleric 2 > krivis or chaplain > krivis)
What u guys think?
I duno a lot about cleric, so plz share ur opinions with me o.o
Hi Lenny,
I have a SPR chaplain sitting at level 220 now and I have literally no idea what to do with him with the announcement of r8 classes. No rank 8 classes seem to fit chaplain very well (esp a SPR one).
Chaplainās dps will be very good up till level 150, but then it starts to fall off drastically after that. The problem is not your single target dps but the fact you canāt hit many targets at once and the fact you need to be in melee range with them (thats a big annoyance since many 200+ mobs have innate knockback on their attacks).
My chaplain can solo the 145 dungeon for example, but it will take extremely long (50~55 minutes) and that makes it not very worthwhile.
Seeing the recent buff to Magnus Exorcismus, I would go the INT path now if I were to make another chap. Not only Magnus seems like it will be a powerful skill, INT builds make it a lot easier to fit in useful rank 7 and 8 classes when compared to SPR builds. The nerf to Krivisā Zalciai makes (to me) SPR builds even less appealing.
Stone Skin is indeed a very nice buff but itās not worth (in my opinion) making a SPR cleric with the current lack of other SPR scaling skills. You just lose too much on both healing (since clericās heal scales only with INT) and dps (from rank 7 & 8 classes) to make it worth it. Thereās also this issue where Stone Skin will be somewhat useless to any player that focuses on having either high block rates (tankers using C block) or high evasion (archers and some swordsmen).
The idea of a āfull supportā is almost nonexistant to me. If you make a SPR focused build, thereās a high probability the same build will be just as good or better with a INT focus.
I picked Oracle c1 on my rank 6 choice due to lack of better option and I kind of regret it now. Oracle c1 isnāt too bad but itās surely way too pvp oriented to me, I barely ever use any of Oracleās skills in pvm. I was looking forward picking Cleric c2 at rank 7 because my heals are pretty lacking but itās truly sad to pick a rank 2 class at rank 7. That also opens the question on what I could possibly pick on rank 8. No matter what you choose to pick at the higher ranks, a INT build will probably do better.
Oracles 3 seem like utter garbage and I donāt really enjoy the idea of going through Oracle 2 which is even worse.
Chaplains kind of really need Cleric c2 in my opinion, and cleric c2 will gain a lot in both dps and healing in an INT build while gaining nothing in a SPR build.
thanks for the reply, i think illl go for cleric 2 > krivis > pd2
i duno if oracle 3 is THAT bad, but i canāt find any video of it, looks like ppl rerolled =/
You canāt do that though, you can only pick rank 6, 7 and 8 after chaplain (which leaves no room for all 4 classes you chose).
Also, I donāt think Chaps fit PD very well. They donāt get many debuffs and in a SPR build itāll be even worse.
Well I think this game is pretty straightfoward. If something looks good on paper, thereās a chance itās bugged and is bad in practice. But if something already looks bad on paper, itās surely bad on practice.
Well, sort of says something about the class already
i wonāt pick chapl xD
=*(
Chaplain in late game is meh.
My Chaplain (Plague Doctor now) canāt quest alone easly.
Is worth only to play with friends where you can buff.
I agree with @mrshadowccg.
The SPR build ends at Chaplain.
I got no real experience with Chaps, aside from having seen chapbots kill alot faster with autoattacks than my Cleric2/Priest3/Krivis/PD that is SPR based. That orginally thought full support got IMCāed with the Zalciai nerf.
While it is true that Chap gains great dmg from SPR, @mrshadowccg already pointed out the major disadvantage: melee only.
Out of which classes you mentioned, I can endorse Cleric2/Priest3/Krivis/PD and Cleric2/Priest3/Oracle/PD. Krivis is more PVE oriented and also for poor people cause you dont need to buy Daino scrolls for your buff arsenal. Oracle is more PVP oriented.
If you cant really solo, what was the point of taking Chaplain to begin with? Aside from solo power with Aspergillium, the class does not really offer benefits to SPR. If that solo power isnt enough to actually solo, it is pretty much a wasted rank.
my idea is a good pve support that can do some dps if needed and can do some pvp too
so iām probably going for krivis cus daino and zalciai, even with the nerf if i can make monsters crit resist 0 i think its good enough
