Oracle Death Sentence post-balance patch readjustment needed

Since the new balance changes made Death Sentence a horrible skill because of the high investment-low return of skillpoints and equipment, the skill should be completely overhauled.

Here are two possible PVE changes for Death Sentence to make the skill worthy of a Rank 7/8 skill:

  1. Change the CD time of Death Sentence to 20 seconds and give the skill 3 to 5 overheats (similar to the 10 seconds 5 overheat skills). As this skill is not affected at all by your weapon and as most skills/skill combinations will simply kill any monster within 16-20 seconds anyway with decent enough equipment[i.e. with a level 315 rare weapon or better], there is no reason why Death Sentence should be the only skill with a high CD time, no AoE capabilities and a maximum damage limit way beneath the damage cap.

  2. Change the CD time of Death Sentence to 20 seconds, leave it at 1 overheat but make it scale with your AoE attackratio as a true AoE debuff skill, adding + 1 addtional AoE attack ratio per skilllevel. In addition, give it an attribute for Oracle C3 that increases the AoE radius of the skill, so it becomes easier to hit monsters further away with the debuff.

While you’re at it, please rework every Oracle c2/c3 skills.

I think a fixed AoEAR is enough, also, it is a long ass debuff, it takes around 1 min to trigger so until it triggers you already killed the mobs, unless it’s some sort of super HP mob (from Oracle too lol). And it shouldn’t work on bosses and Elites, if it works as of now.

Oh, nvm about the long triggering timer, I didn’t leveled it to max to check, I just did tho, it drops to 20 secs.

Hmm, I don’t think every but most of them, specially the ones that look useless (imo at least lol) like:

  • Twist of Fate: It could have random (yay more RNG lol) effect of HP recovery instead of a fixed chance (100%), it could be 33% for recovery hp, DoT and no effect.
  • Foretell: Is not that bad but could had it’s chance of nullify damage reduced to a max of 30% or less, and in PvP have it’s time halved, or it’s movement removed, or simple not usable at all.
  • Forecast: Is pretty much useless to begin with, unless IMC remove the already existent telegraph from some bosses or mob skills. Even so it still useless.
  • Prophecy: Could have it’s duration reduced to 30 secs at Lv 15 and it’s count to 15 or less, might be better 10 counts, and these same numbers halved in PvP. Also, remove that attribute, it’s dumb as hell a defensive skill causing damage, and pretty low at it, not to count that is expensive due to the rank being high.
  • Counter Spell: The duration is not bad, but the count is overkill, 15 at max Lv should be enough instead of 33.
  • Arcane Energy: Seems fine in duration but the buff itself is kind overkill and could cause issues to some classes that have channeling skills based on %SP/sec like Lycan Druid I think, drop to 20% max SP and +25 STA, also remove the damage attribute, dumb as the one from Prophecy.

The rest seems fine to me, maybe an attribute that increase the chance of resetting to roll an item? Might cause rage, not sure lol.
