Option to turn off other people skills in dungeons

I have it on by default for the rest of the game. Inside dungeons there isn’t a way to turn this off and everyone spamming skills tanks my fps pretty badly. Maybe an option to only view cleric/healing skills or something.

We need /effectoff

Yes please. @STAFF_Ethan @Staff_Julie if you can’t improve the bad performance (you didn’t comment on any performance related topic for two weeks now… At least not those I redirected you to) then at least add some settings for us to mess around with. The game engine is a joke. Yes, it looks awesome, I love the visuals…but the performance is bad no matter how high-end your machine is. Please finally comment on this topic.

Main reason it looks awesome is because artists did an incredible job. Being game artist myself I really appreciated their amazing work. Optimization wise, I can tell you artist did everything they could to squeeze maximum performance out of this engine. Amount of polygons in game is actually super low and everything only looks nice and smooth because of smart use of textures and artistic quality of these textures.

As for engine though, that’s where things get depressing. They’ve already mentioned in their interview:
"Q5) Did you develop your own engine?
A5) We are using the internally developed engine which has been in use and updated since the start of “Granado Espada”."

No matter how “updated” it is, at core it’s still a 10+ years old engine and that explains performance issues entirely.

So, chances are low they’ll get it to run acceptable I guess… Come on IMC, don’t dodge the topic. @STAFF_Ethan @Staff_Julie

From the way it seems so far, yeah. In any case, option to turn off all effects apart from those relevant ones like healing squares definitely is needed.

Not only for performance sake but also to see what attack mobs or bosses are performing and to be able to see my own character in the middle of that shiny mess.

That and limit the sound effects that is simultaneously being played, esp. kinda annoying when a lot of players vs world boss. RIP ears.

I completely agree and not because of FPS issue but just basic gameplay issues. I don’t have any performance issues with this game but I do find it hard in a dungeon to even tell what’s going on. It’s just a huge spammy mess of skills and it feels meaningless. I want to get rid of other player’s spell effects so I can actually see what’s going on. As a Cleric it’s just not fun when all I feel like I’m doing is spamming circles and squares on the ground that neither I nor my party can see and half the time they’re moving the mobs out of my AoE effects anyway.

IMC needs to give us an option to turn off:

  • Player damage effects

but keep:

  • Player beneficial effects, including heals, shields, buffs, cleanses, and boss debuffs.

While they’re at it, they need to do something about the fact that player models and nameplates are all I see on screen sometimes in instances, making it hard to actually see the mobs we’re killing - aside from the skill effect issues. And let’s not even go into Dievdirby totems and whatever that massive blue tree thing is too. With those it’s just even worse. I have no clue what’s going on in those instances.

Gonna bump this. I don’t need the game changing my options for me when I enter a dungeon. Optimized the crap outta my config file so at least it’s a tad bearable now. Doesn’t mean I understand why it turns other people skills back on for no reason.

up ffs

Lol game engine is total failure. It looks like old age. Doesn’t scale wit your machine.
