I was contemplating putting this in the “bugs” section but decided not to because I feel that this is all encompassing.
I have multiple machines as well as my friends and we all seem to agree the game REALLY needs to optimized better - This being not only to handle current gfx card capabilities but also mutli-core processing/memory.
Let me give you an example. Here are the basics of specs:
-2 nVidia GTX Titan X’s in SLI
-Intel 5960X processor OC’d to 4.5 ghz
-ASUS Rampage V Extreme Motherboard
-32GB DDR4 3000 Corsair Dominator RAM
-1TB Samsung 850EVO SSD
…And a few other things.
There are no reasons why I should have fluctuations from 298 FPS w/ VSYNC off to about 32 whenever something random happens like a box sprite exploding for instance. To make matters more annoying, when these random frame slowdowns occur, my gfx cards aren’t even being utilized at more than 20-30% as well as my processor cores.
This is an optimization issue across the board. I have a friend with 2 AMD 390X’s in his rig and, like myself, can run games such as The Witcher 3 at 80+ FPS on Max Settings. We can also run MMOs that are more processor AND gfx intensive like ArcheAge and Star Citizen, (full flight sim w/ 8 or more people), at around 60-120FPS at 4K res on max settings.
Please take a look into this as part of your Beta testing routine. If you need me to post a copy of my DXDIAG, please let me know.
