Opinions on re-skill of a Cleric 3 Chinq

Hi all! Wanted to vet this build, as I am planning to do a re-skill (or probably asking for opinions whether it is worth doing a reskill): http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/tamu7mmxmh/

I know it’s not likeable to many, but it actually works really well. In any case, the following are some stuff that I would like to get your opinions on:

  1. Do I reinvest the 3 skill points away from Deprotect Zone and somewhere else, probably add 3 skill points to Safety Zone or Fade?

  2. Do I get rid of the 1 point in Monstrance and invest it elsewhere (i.e. MH or Revive)?

  3. Do I take out Exorcise and ME (and just settle with Capella) to free up 5 skill points to be reinvested… elsewhere? Not sure where, but again, probably MH or Revive (and/or maybe a level 5 Resu).

  4. Lastly, should I rearrange skill points in God Smash, Malleus, and Pears? Get rid of Pears and max MM and GS? or probably go 5 MM, 4 GS, and retain 1 point in Pears?

I often run solo, but also occasionally join ET parties (and probably would like to participate in ET parties and guild raids a bit more, but without sacrificing solo viability). Another pet peeve is, under this current build, I often find myself buffing/debuffing too much and too often, rather than doing actual damage. I wanted the build to be a bit more straightforward, therefore getting rid of some buff/debuff skills that only offer marginal benefits.

Opinions/criticisms welcome. TYVM!

  1. Remove deprotected zone completely and put it to fade. Casting and re-casting this skill is a hassle and better do damage instead.
  2. As you are aware, priest is pretty difficult to allocate points. If it were me, I would drop aspersion to lv 1 and put the rest to ressurection>mass heal>>revive. Left monstrance as lv 1
  3. No. you’re a chaplain so leave it as it is
  4. leave it as it is.

You will find it comes to your playstyle and eventually discover your own.

  • If you have physical melee or will do some AoE, you will use wheel
  • if you need burst damage when solo or bossing, you’ll turn heal attribute off
  • if you party with high dex people, you will use monstrance ocasionally

Well that’s all comes from me. I personally never play inquisitor but been living as chaplain since obt.
If someone has better insight, then feel free to correct it

Appreciate the response @Megiddo_Yggdra!

Curious: is Guardian Saint worth investing in? What do you think?

It isn’t worth investing if you mostly play solo.
I like the skill, but it’s a tiny square on the ground, so unless your party knows to work with it (and has the need for it) it won’t be used.

You definitely need to level Resurrection more. Level 2 is way too low. The cast time is too long, and in a lot of cases you will get disrupted when casting it. Res should been at least at level 4, maxed if possible.
You don’t need Aspersion 15, even as a Chaplain. I’d also take out some of the points there and put them somewhere else.
I agree on the priorities: Res > Mass Heal > Revive. Revive 5 is fine.
Also note that IMC is still modifying skills, and Stone Skin will also reduce magical damages.
And don’t worry, your buff problem will disappear one day (soon™ hopefully) as IMC is gonna increase all buffs duration to 300s. So no more recasting everything every 30-60 seconds.

Thanks for the response @Goldie! How much Aspersion would you recommend?

1, this way you can level more your support skills and still be able to use Aspergillum.
