Opinions between split or group in dungeon instance

May vary in team comp…

Sword class tend at times to be in a group if they lack the damage… while classes that are good at mobing tend to solo… I just noticed at times dragoon tends to split in a 300dun

Wizard… depends on build preference… the necro ones can split couz of their army…

a full spi sorc can ride and mob a whole room… depends on the sorce class build it can also dmg the mobs or just minimal dmg and still need help for nuking…

clerics with zeolot tends to split in 300dun now a days… and enjoy clearing a room

archers built with schwarzer usually split in the dun… while zappers tend to stay in a group…

gear aside… whats your opinion…??
(i said gear aside couz not everyone has 350 orange to splurge and enjoy)

I enjoy in a group but with a mounted sorce… they can really aggro a room without a problem… it just need members for dps.

To speed up dungeon 300, minimum 1 player should take the bottom 2 rooms (archer room and mage room). 2-3 players take the first 2 big rooms towards the orb. Remaining player should clear hallway and the upper mage room.

I’m doing this exactly with chaplain, cuz cockies and tomes are usefull only at the end, so spening time for nothing is not good.

Always split if you have dmg potential. If your gear isn’t fantastic , it’s more efficient to clear it in pairs or groups

I don’t have good gears so i prefer grouping. Usually i’m lucky to be able to follow 2-3 players together. If all 4 of them split up, I will just follow one and do as much damage as i can.

i am always split because the linker+shadowmancer combo… i cannt use that combo if someone with multi hit skill or fast attack speed destroy the monster link before i cast hangman knot…

also i got FF and sorc summon, pet can be tank and i got heal

I will go in group when I am not strong enough to solo. If I play my BM I always go alone to solo the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rooms. It makes the run much faster, sometimes it is even under 5 min per run.

In Silute people still dont realize that if their character is weak, not geared, they should go in group. Its very sad to see they trying to solo and being killed… Always making the run longer

I think people should split up not only regarding to gear but also regarding to build.

Because while grouping up with my Pelta3>Matador2 is great since he’s got Swash Buckling level 15 to mob a whole room, my Kabbalist simply can’t do so, so if other people are interfering with me mobbing monsters, it will take a lot longer to have all mobs killed, especially if people are pulling away monsters once they move to not get hit.

But yeah, basically people should take a look at the weapon of the people and the Classes/builds at the beginning and act accordingly for the best possible outcome.
And of course they should start to learn what debuff skills like Double Chance or Geburah do to not interrupt/intervene with people doing fine [meh, that’s happening too often, with Cryomancers suddenly popping a Pillar behind you to take away all your mobs or some Peltasta using a lowlevel Swash Buckling on the move provoking away half of your mob, not to forget those autoattackers who blindly run through the room attacking everything…].

So, best is to not interfere with other people, if they split up at the beginning to go alone, let them go alone, it doesn’t really matter if they have the confidence to go solo and don’t make it, every mob killed efficiently is time saved for the group and if you make a round trip either way you’ll sooner or later meet up again.
Chances are that grouping up with them will hinder their gameplay, annoy them or and/or even result in your team taking longer because you did something unneccessary.

Also, damn those people not searching for left-over monsters who’re camping the boss monster warp once you’re at 97%+ clear. It just takes longer if they can’t kill the boss monster in 5 seconds once the dungeon is 100% cleared and instead pull it away to some random position on the map.

I don’t mind if the people have the strength and build to do so. It makes the runs MUCH faster.
All my characters who can solo easily will clear the bottom rooms. If I’m on a support or if others who look like they can solo it went ahead already, I’ll go the normal way.
I hate though when they rush clear and miss some mobs. It can happen to everybody, but sometimes they miss 3-5 mobs in one room… Come on.

Also you clearly don’t need a 350 Orange weapon to do it since none of my characters are 350 yet. Just good aoes + HP pots (or to be a cleric o/)
The only thing that truly bothers me is people who attack stupidly and split the mobs instead of grouping them… Or even use skills to push them back. They’re grouped and being aoed to death, why would you push them back ?! Why the hell are you using your Heavy Shot on this mob that I lured into the aoes, idiot archer ?!
I cry everytime.

Easy rule: I always turn left in dungeon 300. If everyone turn left, we group. Otherwise, we split

Splitting up is definitely faster if 1-2 people are capable of handling the right side.

What seems to happen among more veteran groups:

If you have 1 carry, they should handle the right side while the other 4 handle the left.
If you have 2 carries, they should split off from each other and it doesn’t matter what the rest do.
If you have no carries but reasonable DPS, split your clerics.
If you have no carries and no clerics, just group up.

Here’s the bigger issue:
Someone always misses one. It’s always either:

The VERY FIRST dog in the hallway on the left. (90% of the time it’s this asshole)
In the far left corner of the first room on the left.
In the far upper right or left corner of the first boss’ orb room.
In the far north corner of the mage-only room on the left.
One of the mages at the top of the stairs freaked out and ran into the room with the 2nd boss portal.

So please, please just do a circle around the room on your way out of each, you will save everyone so much time on their +exp goodies.

And don’t forget that first one in the hallway. He leashes before the rest so I think that’s how he gets missed so much.

Quite frankly, the 300 Dungeon doesn’t take long enough for me to care either way. 90% of groups that I have been in that stayed together, might have taken a moment longer, usually a minute or two if we had split up, and then there is times where the opposite comes into play. For various reasons I don’t feel like paragraphing about.

5-10 minute dungeon runs are hardly anything to complain about. If someone knows they can handle rooms by themselves and do it just as fast as if they were in the group. By all means, go play hero. If not, no skin off my back. Not like dungeons are meaningful besides a quick bang which leaves you feeling dirty afterwards. Like, Health Clinic dirty.

Most of the time i will choose to split & move to 2nd bottom entries boost the map clearing speed.
Necro/Soc/Zealot/PD/Falcon

What i pissed off is some jerks with endgame armor
(its grateful that they could clear the mob with “1” hit but they didn’t clear off & turn over n check the map to check any leftover mob at the room they trying to solo)

& they head to the BOSS n kill in few hit…BLAH we don’t hv time to find the mob they leftover…

Sometimes they leave my fullsupport in the normal lane all alone after I use frost pillar. :haha:

i solo whenever i’m on my BM2. One BOD clears a lot of mobs. Else, i do duo/groups since my other characters lack gears and maybe piloting skills too. I’m waiting for my Dragoon3 (saving for gears and attributes) to one-shot aoe using dragonfall, i think as of now i need more or less a thousand p.atk.

What’s bad IMO is getting 99% instead of 100% and trying to find that one mob everyone missed. (Rader is not working btw… i think i read some addon replacing rader or something, but i haven’t got the time to check)
