Welcome back saviors, once again the staff at IMC would like to thank everyone for taking part in week 52 of our ongoing open BETA at ITOS, here is a summary of this week’s exciting events.
The week began with Sorien publicly releasing a chat command prompt that when entered in /party mode would crash the current channel the user was in.
Across several different servers specific saviors spammed /shout chat with this new chat command to encourage other saviors to crash whatever channels they were in, to either troll people or duplicate items for profit.
After an entire day of these hijinx the staff at IMC (myself and Steve the Janitor) performed an extensive 1 hour emergency hotfix where we took the panel off the server tower and pulled out all the circuits that were currently on fire or emitting sparks.
Once the maintenance was completed we re-opened the servers to the public and went to the Movies to watch Disney’s Mohana. During this time the players discovered that the Commander was now back and stronger then ever. During the past few weeks we have reduced nearly every map to 1 channel to save on our electric bill, with this new 1 channel limit the Commander decided to make ToS great again.
In closing we would like to inform the public that even though we have multiple screenshots of the players who spammed /shout with the command prompts to crash channels we will be taking no actions against those players. Instead we will be issuing bans to the players who did not enter any illegal codes but who did click RNG boxes with set timers they currently had in thier inventories.
