OP Cash Shop item is added

Why the minimum limit : to prevent junk posts of course.

Seriously, without cash the devs won’t be able to give you free games to play. And you if don’t want to pay for those things, it’s not like you wil miss anything.
Instant revival is only unfair in PvP/GvG. In PvE it’s completely acceptable, stop making a big fuss… :weary:

You do not want to see that happening. IMC was very mad at GE SEA regarding a premium character ‘Emilia the Sage’(ETS) having both offensive magic and heals/support magic and demanded IMC to nerf the character.

IMC did nerf ETS, her stats were decreased, on the SEA server but not on other servers. Now SEA players want to undo the ETS nerf but IMC doenst want to.

Okay then… Do you know how do I imagine future? There will be a super VIP that will allow you to hack other players -.-

Okay, have fun with your imagination then. :relieved:

its very vibrant as it is

You good man? I think you might need one of these.

disappointment :disappointed:

Do you have any kind of logical or empirical basis for this “flowchart” of yours? You’re going to have to explain your reasoning if you expect anyone to entertain this kind of wild, paranoid speculation for even a moment.

Do you realize that if the game’s developers actually did what you’re saying they’re going to do, it would not only cause players to quit the game en masse, but also heavily discourage new players from even thinking about trying the game as negative word-of-mouth spreads, which would ultimately result in the game becoming yet another constituent of the pile of failed Korean F2P MMORPGs on the market?

Where did this idea that “game developers” and their superiors comprise some kind of shadowy, “Illuminati”-like cabal of evil conspirators whose (inexplicable) ultimate goal is to sabotage their own product come from?

Also, I wish people would stop throwing the term “Pay to Win” around without even knowing what it means. Everything is “pay to win” these days. EXP boosters? P2W. Auto-revives? P2W.

What exactly do these items allow you to “win” at? EXP boosters do just what they say they do: increase the amount of EXP you earn so as to decrease the amount of time you spend grinding.

Am I then correct in assuming that “winning”, in this context, means “spending less time grinding than everyone else”?

If so, then I have an ingenious method by which you can be an even bigger winner than even the people buying the EXP boosters. It’s brilliant, and I’m gonna let you in on it for FREE. You ready? Here it is:

Don’t play the game. Then the amount of time (and money) you’re going to spend grinding relative to the people who did buy EXP boosters will be 0, thereby making you the biggest winner of all:

In order for an item to be “pay to win”, it has to offer you a decisive advantage in a competitive environment. Grinding isn’t a competition; it’s an inevitable facet of the game. Everyone has to do it - the only difference between the people with EXP boosters and the people without them is the amount of time they’ll spend doing it.

It’s not “pay to win” if you’re not actually winning anything.

The game is being published by Nexon.

Naturally it will be P2W.

The international Tree of Savior is being published by IMC.

The only way to keep this thing away from the P2W quicksand is to put a heavy emphasis on cosmetics and create specific non- game breaking boosts.

Just so everyone knows, NXP can be gained through Achievements, too.

EXACTLY. This isn’t P2W and these people just want to whine about anything they think is P2W before the game releases so they can “level the playing field”, aka, “I don’t play enough / am lazy and I don’t want someone with money being able to get a slight advantage over me”

I loved buying boosters (no matter how obviously money-pit they were) in Nostale because it typically would take a player 2-3 months to reach lvl 50 (with no level cap) because of how slow the grind was. Exp boost events and exp boosters shaved the time down by a nice month or so. It didn’t make me “win” at anything other than being able to get off my ass and do something other than pulling groups or mobs and getting 1% to the next level every day of the month…

It’s the lazy people that can’t play enough that could benefit from P2W… If anything it would be the people that arent lazy and play constantly that would be justified in having issues with P2W causing cash to override all their time and effort. Saying that people who are concerned about P2W are lazy and don’t play enough makes no sense. P2W is a wall that seperates those who pay from those who don’t regardless of hard work or time spent.

If said insta-revive is only available while grinding in open areas I don’t mind. I mean, if an area is dangerous it’s your own darn fault for going in alone without a priest-like class to back you up, and in worst case scenario, being able to revive on the spot will save you several minutes of running back from the nearest resurrection point/town/graveyard. Paying to save time is OK.

But if you’re able to revive during PvP activities (War of Emperium-like stuff comes to mind) or during hard boss fights deep in some dungeon where losing a player during a crucial moment (especially if Priest resurrect spells have lengthy cast times) could mean wiping out the entire group… It suddenly starts to stink of p2w.

TL;DR: If some activities (PvP areas, epic boss fights) prohibit resurrecting on the spot it’s ok. If you can buy your continued survival in ANY tight situation it’s a no-no.

That must be the dumbest thing I’ve ever read.
You pay in order to save your lazy ass playtime to get faster through the game without any effort.
And then you say people that don’t pay are lazy.

At least the other people PLAY the game and don’t just cheat-pay through it.
What’s the point of even playing if you just pay in order to get to the end?

Your logic is upside down.

How about limiting the usage of insta-revive by giving it a considerate duration of cooldown? That way you’re still paying $$$ for revives and making it not spamable at the same time. Disable insta-revive in instances such as raids or PvP, and everyone is happy
