On endgame mobs/bosses how much damage does ~330 mdef reduce?
Not much, i got 500+ in a char and it take around 1.6k damage.

Defense work as a flat amount reduction
1000(Mob/player Magic attack, damage) - 330(Your magic defense) = 670
After you got to consider everything that could affect their base damage, Any modifier, that mean 330 MDef won’t just negate 330Magic Damage.
(Exemple of modifier: Elemen affinity, Enchance, Agny Necklace)
Never try out but nuela card work on a % bonus magic resit I hear… Soo maybe you could use those.
i prefer to think its 330 + 80% (rank bonus) and+ 10%/15% (from eq enchant), tats around 600+ mdef in total. make me feelgood anyway.
well 2k mdef is enuff for r8 field, definitely not for solmiki
If that’s your final mdef status, then it’s pretty low, since it’s flat reduction. Try gearing yourself with mdef gems/shield/equips/etc.

Wiz lv 274 : 26k HP + Full cloth + Full cloth att (50) + 951 Mdef
= Die in 4-5 magic skills
My tanker Sw lv 278 : 37k HP Full plate + 1178 Mdef
For R7 mobs // Is this damage? lol
For R8 Mobs // No CC , No cleric = No swashbuckler
i’d say get a max petamion and a rhevisan and enhance it/transcend it
nuaeles are the best mdef but can be expensive for a lot of players.
enhancing these necklaces now with the additional 10% defense per rank gives you great mdef.
It seems that nuaele card got nerfed, now it is adding flat mdef, not %
But i’m not sure about it, the card itself doesn’t state more that it adds %
Op is thinking on making a LionHead shield or Pierene Sword i guess.
I don’t think it’s worth it because of practonium,if you’re wasting one of these for defensive gear,go Emengarde,that shield is stupidly op
Mdef and physical defense don’t give flat reduction. Each mob has different multipliers for their dmg so it could be anything. It’s just like for us. If we don’t get past the wall for our physical/magic attack, we hit for ones. After we get past it, our multipliers start helping

Did nuaeles really got nerfed? I really invested a lot in them, oh god…
I got a feeling Nuaele will be nerfed sooner or later. The description is just the beginning.
Can you verify if it was nerfed or not?
Well I tried to but I don’t know how much rank8 gives of mdef… I have 5x level 5 nuaeles equipped atm, if I equip a 100 mdef headgear it increases 150 mdef at the stats… don’t know if it’s just the rank bonuses or what x.x
I’ll finish another card soon and then I’ll tell you for sure.
EDIT: They are not nerfed, my defense went from 2147 to 2233 from equipping a lv 5 nuaele.
2147/1.2*1.25=2236. yup, nualle still give %mdef, not flat

also nuales are % after a certain threshold , i think it was under 500mdef they gave flat mdef, but after 500 its % that way you always benefit
