Old player looking to come back, any improvements?

Hello! As the title says, I played ToS a while back when it first released, and the maximum level I got to was around 65 because the grind was just insane even at that level (I know, I’m a baby). I got a sudden urge to play ToS again because I enjoy the gameplay and art style, but I’m worried it hasn’t improved much in the leveling department. Has the grind improved a bit so even a casual player who doesn’t have a lot of time to invest in a game can get back into it? Or has it stayed the same?

Another question, were there any major improvements I should be aware of since 2016? I don’t really have the willpower to look through more than a years worth of patches for information. Just the barebones is good enough. And how is the playerbase? I remember that even at launch, there wasn’t a lot of people in-game. Has it devolved into a “the public is dead but guilds are strong” type of playerbase?

They know that, so they made a quick overview on what has been improved since then. Check this out:

tl;dr The game improved in many ways but IMC management can be pretty bad frequently. Leveling is easier (many EXP events going on at the same time), combat mechanics got better, playerbase depends on the server, but it’s possible to lvl up relatively fast even if you’re playing alone until lvl 300 (when it’s easier to find people queueing up for the last instanced dungeon and to find a party for grinding/farming).

After coming back from a several month break, I see the game has changed and improved some things significantly but a lot of the same stupid bullshit problems exist.

Class balance is horrible, still bugs everywhere, new bugs introduced every patch, no communication from the developers, stupid tp shop prices, game still bleeding away its playerbase, still lagy and channels crashing.

Leveling did get easier though, quite a bit in fact.

Just save your time and go play something more useful unless you wanna play this game on the side or something, but hardly worth focusing a good majority of your time in. You will only end up disappointed.

lol don’t expect improvements from a company that have no idea what the problem is… :tired:

best advice

make new account > got newbie pack > do party dungeon > leap to level 300

If you have a lot of free time, you can reach 300+ in less than 12 hours because of all the xp buffs cumulated, but it also means skipping the entire leveling, questing process.

reach level 300++ then do the quest FOR STORY…

we dont need to leveling through quest, dungeon, mercenary post and hunting ground is the way to go.
i do it on weekend, so getting level 300+ is easier with rookie pack.

if you dont have a lot of free time, this is way to go…
