Did anyone else from the old CBT not have to re download the game and just
patch it. I got a beta key in my email and I wanna give it to my friend but
I’m not sure if I actually have to download it again?
If you played in the first test, and still have the game downloaded, then all you have to do is patch it and don’t need to use another key. You can give it to someone else.
If you give your code to him, you lose your game in your account.
You used a different email to register for 2nd CBT from the one when you joined the first CBT? First beta testers just have to patch the game, basically I used back my old key which was activated.
If you already have the game, just patch it. Considering your old key still works, meaning your old account still works.
If you have an extra key, give it to a friend instead of a random person on the internet. I suggest doing this after it’s confirmed your old key still works once the CBT starts, so that you don’t end up with no key for yourself for whatever weird reason.
First off, if you are refering to give him the key you already used, then no, its not possible and steam will say that the key was already used, if its a new one them it ok you can give it to him.

If you already have the game activated on steam, then having another beta key does you no good. It’s the same game on steam, there’s not another version / game that you’ll be activating. So download or not, you’d be able to re-download the game through steam, and access your account there.
Yes, after patch and all if you reach login screen you are set to go.
If you’re referring to his already-used first code, then no, giving it to someone else does nothing because it can’t be used twice.
If you’re referring to an extra key that he may have, then still no, because those are allowed to be shared for non-profit/non-commercial purposes.
