Problem with catacombs pike is you end up hitting 1s with your rush against someone with high PDEF. Then again, does JiggaJacks only have a catacombs pike? He seems to have some hella DPS.
dunno, but last time i saw him in pvp about a month ago he’s still rocking that catacombs pike. but it probaly has a good xcendance level on it which gave him that much needed phy attack :D. I call a featherfoot psychokino a Fino, officially actually. yes its official
Yesterday I had 1 good game where I got 9-0 and was MVP and lost all other games lol. I’m not gonna make any excuses, I just can not carry the game as a cata with shitty gear…
Against kinos like Alsheyra (or other whales for that matter) my rush does 1 damage so my options are too limited. Stuff like ausrine, r7x, and subzero shield screws me over really hard.
I mean, for all the complaining missile hole is getting, subzero shield screws us over in a similar way. But hardly anyone is complaining why? Because swordsman are just barely viable in TBL In the first place even without subzero shield whereas SR with transcended weapons are a menace in TBL when not facing missile hole. So missile hole is like the only thing holding them back whereas there are TONS of things holding us back.
Ausrine: Not 100% uptime.
R7X: Can deal with.
Subzero Shield: Doesn’t protect from damage.
Your only problem: Low physical attack.

Still hits 1 because Missile Hole is unbalanced. You at least have the option of getting a better weapon where archers can even break 12k physical attack and still hits 1.
I think it was like +11 Transcendence Stage 1 only. I rely on Dethrone, Serpentine debuff and high attributes. Sorry I don’t really TBL anymore. I pretty much am done with ToS at the moment.
Archers still have the advantage of being able to deal damage from range. If there was no missile hole, an SR would rip up anyone that is not shielded from ausrine with highly transcended weapons.
So in that sense, missile hole is kind of needed. Whereas, even a catagoon still needs to walk over there to deal damage, as fast as he may be. Don’t even get me started on swordies on foot, because I’ve played one before and I got kited by everyone. Even landing a skill is a problem when you have ranged people bunny hopping in a circle around you. Range is a huge advantage!
Dethrone is a great ranged skill, but it can be tricky to land when people anticipate it. I haven’t played SR before, but I imagine landing retreat shot is a lot easier.
I agree. It’s not fun to just go and kill everyone without any effort but Missile Hole is too much, it goes to another extreme. It is unbalanced to have 100% damage immunity of any type.

I didn’t do much, mainly left him attacking to try to record him attacking from longer range because hook64. Note: This is from before R8 and transcendence was implemented.
But look on what you can do as archer if for example, Missile Hole only blocked missile attacks by long range + reduced % damage:
I could saved my teammate from getting CC’d by Psychic Pressure.
I could use knockback from skills to prevent them casting skills.
They couldn’t blindly face-tank the archers and I could have killed the Necro running away with no HP.
Now look back at this post:
We have two SR with transcended weapons and both of us are useless. We can’t help anyone who got CC’d, we can’t apply Full Draw debuff to make players stuck, we can’t use any knockback skill, we can’t kill people on low HP, we can’t use skills to force someone to stop and move away before dying because everything hits 1.
The only skills we can use, be you a Fletcher, Wugushi, Hunter etc are only good on 1v1 scenarios. In this match we had two SR, the Missile Hole skill alone decided the outcome of the match simply because they can run into any archers and we can’t do nothing to effectively stop them during the entire match.
Example of balanced immunity:
You can be immune from all physical attacks for 25 hits (max) but have the downsides of reduced movement speed and can’t cast most skills. Also, it’s a self, single target, buff and not 100% uptime.
