Not seeming to grant me mdef anymore, anyone else have this problem?
Mine are still working. Try reequipping your armour.

This happened to me prior to this maint. Sometimes, it neglect the card’s processing on some of the equipment’s magic defense. unequip and equip all of them seems to fix it.
There’s also an occasional bug when armour is broken and repaired using an emergency repair kit, the stats don’t work properly until reequipped.
I can confirm the bug, I just tested to make sure and:
My total M Def prior patch: ~3100 m def.
My total M Def now with same set: 2631 m def.
Reequiped all piece of pieces of armor, hats, bracelets and shield again, same results, Nuaele not working properly or at least not as with the same values (maybe some M Def stacking fix?).
How many Nuaeles are you using?
5 Lv.10 Nuaeles, 3 Lv.10 Chapparition to balance M Def and M Atk.
They are definitely working:
M Def on map change without M Def set: 2238.
We’re effectively losing around 400+ M Def with this Nuaele effect changes.
Yeah my Mdef seems to have decreased too, I used to have 2500 or so bot now I have only 2000.

I only have 2 Nuaeles equipped at the moment and mine are working. Perhaps they capped how many stack?
I don’t think so, it is more likely that they stacked twice or something.
Such as, from:
1 card: X * 110%
2 card: (1 card) * 110%
3 card: (2 card) * 110%
Adjusted into:
1 card: X * 110%
2 card: X * 120%
3 card: X * 130%

That would make the most sense given the numbers.
For sure that’s a Nuaele nerf, but I think it’s still BIS.

I still get the same mdef.
I have 8 lv10 and my mdef is still the same, to test i unequip and re-equip everything and change channels/re-log.
Do you have 8 Nuaeles or less than 8?

Also, what’s your class? Do you have any other specific bonus that could affect M Def? Such as Cryomancer attribute?
Cleric PD2. Nope. Nothing changed at all.
Using 5x Lv10 Nuaele on a Lv330 Inquisitor. My M.Def is the same.
Maybe you guys are just used to having Enchanter buffs on?
Check your headgear maybe?
