NPC Alchemist Vaidotas

Hi, I’m trying to locate Vaidotas, it is suppose to be in miner village but he disappeared. When I was doing the advancement quest, the npc is there but it will disappear and reappear really fast (Like it flickers) and I had trouble clicking on him. it took me many many tries to spam click on him to talk to him before he disappear. Now after I changed job, the npc is not there anymore. any help really appreciated.

EDIT : Just to add something, I have completed almost all of the beginning quest, and ALL of the miners town and crystal mine quest. I rescued Vaidotas already.

restart your game…

verify files via steam…

reboot your computer…

actually you should probably do them in the reverse order i listed.

did all of that already. nothing worked. man this sucks… was really excited to hit alchemist too.

send in a ticket and support services thank me for reporting the issue and going to forward it to developer. does anyone else have this problem? i wonder how long do i have to wait so i can craft my potions… sigh.

thoughts, a bit late, but…

when you were doing your early levels, were you on the Orsha or Klaipeda side?

there’s a quest that requires you to go rescue Vaidotas from the Vubbe village, before entering the Crystal Mines.
if you you did the early parts on the Orsha side, you might have missed it. if you haven’t done that quest yet, he might still be in the Vubbe village.
(yes, the ENTIRE GAME is actually semi-instanced; what appears on your screen is not necessarily identical to what others see, even outside of cutscenes.)

take the path east to Srautas Gorge… but instead of continuing east to the zone change, switch north across the 2nd bridge. once you enter the village, reverse direction, and follow the fence west and north, and you should find Vaidotas between two little raised “islands” with a couple of huts on them.

on the other side, assuming you started on the Orsha side, you could also just go back and do all the quests on the Klaipeda side. it really won’t be -worth- anything to you, if you’re high enough for Alchemist, but it’ll check off storylines and such, and move npc’s to their “final” locations and so on.

Thanks for your help, I started at Klaipeda side. I finished all the beginning quest and rescued him already when I was low level. He’s not in miners village, not in the mine. I knew something was wrong when that npc was flickering on and off when I was doing the advancement quest…

Does anyone else have this problem or am I the only one in the whole entire TOS universe to have this problem? God I hope this maintenance somehow MAGICALLY fixed my problem.

Sorry I have to tag you guys I do not want to post this problem in general chat. I hope you guys can help me by checking this unusual behavior. I already send in a support ticket and it got answered it already. But I’m not sure when they will be fixing this or checking this problem for me. The missing NPC Alchemist Vaidotas. At this point, there’s really no reason to play my alchemist, as I cannot make any pots due to the missing npc…

okay, I have been on the same issue but I have figured out, you only have to enter in a party with someone doing the quest of minners village, when he finishes the quest with you in the party you will receive a warning in the game saying that you have complete the prerequisites to the advancement quest.
