Now this is what I would call "Great News"

With all the optimization measures applied, we witnessed an increase of approximately 2.5 times in minimum FPS. We were able to see that the gaming environment was improved greatly by the fact that by raising the minimum FPS allowed the game to maintain at least 60 FPS on the testing specifications. Note that these results were obtained in a testing environment and can differ depending on each user’s PC specifications. However, the inconvenience caused by these problems is expected to reduce significantly in most situations.

Finally no more overheat my CPU

Will easily be the best patch so far.

Totally. Its a huge gain in terms of enjoyment and gameplay. Now they just need to push it out fast!

Great indeed.
That almost make me forget of the connection loop issue.

Looks very promising, on the graph he plotted the FPS with the batch draw (and other optimizations) only dropped below 60 once.

He also mentioned:

But I didn’t notice any major visual difference from his screenshots comparison.

Shadows look slightly more pixelated on the 166 draw calls screenshot, but it’s barely noticeable.

Finally, my laptop would be happy about this.
When’s this gonna roll out though? This week?

I think it is suppose to be the usual maintenence time of the week

Hope my wooden pc with 5fps will jump to 10

the problem is that so-called “visual accuracy” cannot be applied to game where some ground textures have higher rendering priority than character’s headgear resulting in visual loss of the latter in case they overlap.

This is nice but they didn’t give a date :l I don’t wanna wait a month or two for this.

Not sure I understand what you’re trying to say… I was refering to the particle batching. The candle lights do look different but could just be the animation and not the drawing method…

you’ll definitely jump right up to at least 7!

just remember to keep that hamster fed! don’t let him stop spinning that wheel!

put a kepa hat on, and then go stand in orsha just below the statue.

the -ground- tiles cover the part of the kepa hat that is not in front of your head.

@nizidr Oh man, don’t be so harsh with the developers. I mean, they did fix the issue with “certain icons for potion items being printed identically”.

personally i think it’s funny, and essentially quite trivial.

oh no, sometimes my hat doesn’t show.
THATS IT! THIS GAEM R DED. GIMME REFUNDZ.
or something like that…

But it is. Or rather it is not alive but in a process of futile reanimation.
I was about to create a [Doomsayer] thread with other reasons with graphs and explanations, but then this announcement popped up. So I will hold until after tomorrow’s maintenance.

I did some work related to image processing. Even if you reduce the image quality by 10-20%, it reduce lag a lot (up to 40-50% image size reduction)

And 10-20% quality drop in image is hardly noticeable, unless you are on ultra HD screen.
