Now I understand why ppl said Agny too crazy

If you play Doppel/Dragoon you need to use slash/pierce debuff to got x2 dmg within 4 sec.
If you play Tao you need to pay a silver for call Storm for boost your dmg
If you play musketeer. You need to risk your life go into close range. for x2 dmg.
If you play falconner you need to pay silver for transfer stats into skill attribute (it will give dmg+ around 100-200)

If you play PD2/Pyromancer. juse equip Agny and then your fire dmg will boost x2.5-3.5 all time. (PD2 fire dmg boost from 4000 per tick to 16000 per tick…)

lol… If you can boost something pretty crazy like this why you so mean to that falconer lol…

PD2 damage ‘only’ gets doubled.

But it has downsides, it takes the necklace slot which reduces mdef. So you are bound to it and can’t wear stronger gear for like… ever.

i dont know what the exact amount for fireballs, but its definitely around 3.5-4;5k

3.8x for Fireball. Insane indeed and makes PyroChrono really strong.

Why you need a better gear when you pretty much one-shot everything with this littlesh*t anyway :joy:

The question is how much you miss the mdef for Solmiki content. Probably not at all.
For R8 it’s uncontested strong with the new def increase now. But R9? But this won’t come the next half year so who cares. :smiley:

IMC should improve pyromancer class and skill instead of make OP item like this.

This item will destroy balance of game and other item.

The best defense is a good offense Why you need more defense when you kill mob faster!!

I for one do not agree with imc’s current decision with pyro right now, but you are forgetting the fact that:

Melee attacks all knock the most potent dps spell in pyro’s arsenal, fireball. Yes, partying with any z attacking char, including all the swordies, Spin2wins and what not you encounter in party, all the clerics that felt like pressing z every now and then, oh and not forgetting, even a hackapelle will render fireball useless. Yes, USELESS. Almost 0 dps.

That elementalist that felt like casting rain. Yep. All your fire spells will go poof! Except fire pillar because God knows why.

That taoist that casts storm calling. Same thing above. Poof! No dps for pyro.

Any happy go lucky linker that happily links any and everything for every joint penalty cooldown. Have fun watching your fireballs bounce around as long as a melee is in party wacking that boss.

Anyone that enjoys pressing z on your fireballs like as if it was soccer. Much excitement!!.. chasing those fireballs.

Enjoy usually getting 4th & 5th place even with that high dmg because with all that said above, are factors that prevent a pyro from doing damage.

Only if you’re extremely lucky that you encounter an all ranged, non rain/storm calling casting player, then you’d have a chance of doing some insane damage. Anything else, it’s a hit or miss.
(Sometimes you might get scenarios where the fireball just lodges into the boss’s hitbox and stop bouncing around, but those are few and far inbetween tons of frustration seeing fireballs knocked around by party members.)

I would gladly prefer if imc remove agni necklace and fix those issues mentioned above instead.

I did a small test just to check on my Pyro 2 on the CM vubes, without it was hitting for 1.2k, when i put it spiked to 8.5k.

I know that feel :cry:

Even tanks and cleric that do no damage like 100 would spam Z and hit my fireballs away. They don’t care if the mob die fast or slow xD Z-Spam for the win. Wooooooooo :smiley:

You forgot to add that sometimes fireball stuck on mobs but do 0 damage. I think it de-sync. It just stucks there and do nothing :\

Yeah you’re right! I forgot about that.

Speaking of which, sometimes the fireball lodges itself outside of the boss’s hitbox and refuses to move in further, thus zero damage. This is very noticeable especially on CM mission Salamander boss, go try it lol. Adding on, sometimes if you push fireballs through barrier and maybe other damaging ground aoe, it gets stuck and fails to move anymore. I encountered this a couple of times with barrier. Like you said it just desyncs and stop working like it should.

Feel free to add on to the never ending lists of annoyances playing pyro. :smiley:

Well it true pyro got alot of little annoying thing

-Fireball getting kick around
-Rain Spell Killing all pyro spell (except pillar/ hellbreath)
-Fireball not moving correctly
-Fireball proc each other insted of actualy doing damage to monster (can be fix by behing close to monster than you are of your fireball, they focus the closest thing to you Monster > Fireball)

But… I’m not gona complain anymore, passing from 3,6k to 18k / tick fireball
2,2k to 15k on fire proprity monster.
Actualy hurthing those R8 monster 1k (With Agny) to 12k when using potion.(Chap card at like 55%/80%)

Just let them play it, they play because they see damage imba not because they like Pyro. If Pyro never had Agny buff, they wouldn’t even bother to make 1 nor build 1 around it.

Sooner or later they will start complaining about the mechanics, they will start blaming IMC. History repeats.

1 ktos video creates itos meta = everyone follow = everyone complain.

If they can’t accept Pyromancer flaws, worse case scenario you will see them quiting. From my experience, that’s how the players are in itos.

I play pyro because it’s fun burning things but agny is pretty powerful. what is also op is the def and mdef buffs we all got. before update when I first encountered red truffles I got hit for 7k damage I guess because they were above 10 levels over me. now with def buff I get hit for 1s :S. I want to see more videos of rank 8 areas with pyro and agny. i’m a pyro chrono atm but might go linker once I hit rank 8 and reset. balls are stronger against many small mobs. a fb vs medium mobs = hits 2 of them.

The game mechanics got wrong direction.
Well, first of all to perserve value of low rank damage, they should increase stat multiplier like int = 2matk and rescale the weapon dmg to higher. this ultimately solve struggle for all classes when the strength bind on equipment and stat, not skill base dmg that devs wasted so much time to adjust and test 1 by 1, we are like waiting forever to wait our favourite class get buff, let the player decide how to spam skill effectively with by adjusting sp since spr is trash now
what now? transcend weapon with high level gem and upgrade can skyrocket to 2k dmg? and an agni with cheating like feature to boost x3-4 dmg? this is just so wrong

at first imc tried to use flat design, with more additive dmg and limited % modifier, now it tend to boost both sides with imba weapon flat value and imba % from cards + meltis and a op necklace

Nope I’m pretty sure it’s not only double. Me and my friend already try. because we don’t have pyromancer. all we can test is PDs Fire. normally we can do only 4k-4.5k. right now it’s jump to 15k-16k.
I wonder what this necklace doing. I don’t think IMC write program to check if owner of this necklace is PD2 or Pyro anyway.

I don’t anti this necklace or something. but when I see cannonner & falconner I feel like WTF did they don’t like 2 of this class or something?

cannoner-only 50%dmg boost long cd but can’t use with boss.

falconner- boost 30%dmg from base stats while falcon can’t equip any weapon and can attack only when player use skill…

Isn’t there supposed to be a “second” agny-like necklace, but for ice spells?

For agny to be fine we need more nice things like

  • Same items for other elements and damage types, like missile and slash/strike/pierce, etc
  • Defensive items (anti-inquisitor necklace!)
  • Sane prices for attributes regardless the circle (lul 80 level fireball takes 6kk, 80 level fire pillar 9kk, what is the point in having any other dps classes if pyro outdamage them all while being the most cheap?)

Rune of ice doesn’t boost deployment magic (like ice wall and frost cloud). Yep you can waste a cirlce on runecaster to make your ice bolts/pikes/freezing spheres not so painfully useless. Or you can simply buy an item for 1-2kk and outdamage any other dps as pyro (while having 4 spare circles for supportive classes)
