For me, this game is Tree of SOLO for a long time for my all friends gave up on this game. However, I rarely feel lonely.
I see people farming 24/7 and fuking never use any skills.
I see people with shtty name from start point and never have a conversation to anyone.
I see THEM!!! everywhere.
For now, I hereby rename Tree of SOLO, “Tree of BOTS.”(LOL)

I spent my time yesterday sitting in start map. I saw almost 11 new BOTs from start point(I try having conversation with them but it’s futile). I counted BOTs today and the number is more than 40.

From this point, anyone have an idea IMC got how much revenue actually generated from BOTs. Easy mathematics 11*14.99 Dollars in 2 hours that I sat there. 164.89 Dollars per 2 hours, that’s impressive cause in USA minimum wage is only 15$ per hour. And the factor that I sat in only one channel from 20. Estimated number that IMC got from BOTs is 824.45$ per 3-4 hours(I will not explain math here, I know we hate math).

This maybe the part of factor that IMC never seriously eradicate BOTs.

This is my concern to IMC. If the game become F2P, company will surely lose this part of profit. This is when both IMC and players affected by BOTs.
Will they take care flood of free BOTs? Or will they let them roaming the server?

BOTs are cutting life of this game down and the time bomb is ticking. Will IMC choose players or profit? I can’t wait to see what the answer is when the time come.

IMC surely knew they did wrong, you should not rub salt on their wound over and over again. even more with snide complaint like this. you and i and everyone else has 0 idea what is IMC experiencing and yet everyone kept complaining.

I still say that… IMC is crap right now…and if the product is a garbage (thanks to them) it’s good if everyone see that. If the forum is spammed by those topics, steam reviews too, eventually that will kill the game.

So? What’s the problem? All IMC has to do is act as a professional company and try to solve the problems which were mostly made by them.

If every single person playing the game uses their right to make complaints about flaws then IMC has some SERIOUS issues.

Do we missing the point here? As a trainee journalist, I would like to point out the problems to give feedback to IMC and give another perspective to the problem for players.

I spent my time. I did my research. I asked almost 20 professional programers and they said company like IMC has the capability to take care of problems like BOTs if they choose to.

The point here is IMC choose not to eradicate them.

You should never quote these 20 on anything. The proper handling of bots wasn’t invented yet - that is because it is difficult. You can close your game from a currency perspective (poe, d3, etc), but that isn’t winning.

Warfare against bots is not won via heatmaps, algorithms etc. it is won by hurting them where they struggle by design.

When you reach +200 level, you’ll have to get a party to complete quests and level up. Some monsters have at least +60k ~ 130k hp. Good luck.

Honestly…do not try to sell yourself as somebody you are not. This is not just programing question. Do your research about this things.

I don’t want to defend IMC but honestly, it’s not that easy.

What about the feedback? They got more feedback than they should, yet they don’t learn from anything. Now imagine what would happen if they do a 3 month headstart as they intended. The game barely has 1 month content…and that content is only half-way done.

We already paid, they got some money, they do not really care now. Just look at the potentionals this game had.

They could make a fortune just from cosmetic items… Man, honestly…these guys just can’t do it.

now i really think that IMC will never implement any anti-bot system, because that bot/gold seller are their major incomeeee, inb4, game will be dead in few months

Let’s talk about the basic things first, the programmers of IMC yet not optimized the game, they had a lot of time (a lot of CBTs) and my frame rate still about 10 FPS in some maps, the game still disconnect and freezes for no reason.

The BOT problem is a much more complex thing than perfomance, but it’s not impossible to solve, it can be done with a secure client and server, but almost all implementation will cause perfomance drops on both sides and will cust a lot of money and time, that is the main reason that many companies choose not to implement it.

The RMT problems is indeed impossible to solve, people will always trade itens and accounts for real money, the real problems will always be BOTs.

I’m really think that IMC can’t solve the BOT problems, don’t even know how to start fighting it, that’s why they did all those horrible trade restrictions.
