Normal attack change idea

I have an idea that would turn the game a bit more tactical,
solve the issue of auto attack grinders, plus annoy botters.

Normal attacks could use Stamina, the stamina used, would be
of around 5 to 7 stamina points, the stamina will not regenerate
while the player is attacking the monster, and the player will
not be able to attack for a while if have no stamina.

If the player have not much stamina left to attack, the character will
be unable to attack, and need to wait 2 or 3 seconds before it starts
recharging again.

The Stamina bar will fill out fast until nearly the same spot it were
when the player begun attacking the enemy, before it starts filling
out normally.

This idea can turn the combat on the game a bit more tactical,
since while the player is restoring stamina, the player can plan
the next attack while evading attacks.

I am sure this will turn the stamina bar a bit more usefull, since
the actual use for stamina isn’t.

nooo nooo nooooooo, auto attack grinders arent even a bad thing. plus, this is not a good idea, if ur a cleric u should know cleric c1 - c3 is auto attack frenzy, also priest uses auto attacks all the time. do you really want to make the ppl who heal and support u and res u suffer? and make their time harder. if this was implemented nobody would go preist anymore.

especially the preist>monk builds

So you basically say lets screw all QS Builds.

Not really screw, beside I guess skill induced attacks would
not be affected by this rule, but could have a stamina penalty upon
ending the skill effect.

One example, the Archer’s multi shot skill on level 15, would pass the 100% stamina, the skill would be used correctly, but deduct 50% of the total stamina cost.

no i play a dps cleric, i just feek bad for the priests bcuz its already hard 4 them to lvl

Hoplites have 30 seconds cooldown on their damage dealing skills and is built around auto-attacking. This would make the game unplayable for them until they hit dragoon.

As I said, there could be a stamina use reduction when using skills that is about making multiple attacks.

It’s already implemented for example in Dual Weapon Assault (buff from corsair). Making all attacks use stamina would be very annoying to deal with. Besides swordsman would not have enough stamina for his sprint if his auto attack would use it as well.
