Noob priest to be questions

Hello everyone…few things i want to ask please be patient with me…thank you.
Came back after a long break…

  1. The Goddess cube in TP shop…is that seasonal? the one with the random costumes…havent seen it there no more…

  2. Priest: What are the skills that give an extra hit? I heard you can get upto 5 hits…what is the setup for that?

  3. Had a club with…estimating here 100-110 lets say…and a sword with 75-85 estimating…but the sword did more damage with the armor set that gives earth +1 hit…starts with C. set lvl 15. so The sword was doing like 1 hit 100 2nd hit 560…club was doing about 300 or so…any ideas?

  4. Is the hit by blessing, armor, buffs, that give hits…is the damage based on str or int? what makes the damage go up…is my question…

Thank you all have a blessed day.

To get 5 hits, you need to be Priest3-> Chaplain.

You have your normal hit.
Sacrament from Priest.
Last Rites from Chaplain
Aspergilium from Chaplain
One additional hit from stuff like Cafrisun set.

do you get hits from headgears? with let’s say fire, ice, holy, etc? Noticed some armors just add the damage not hits

Nono, it must be “additional elemental damage”.
AFAIK, only Cafrisun and one highlvl set give it.
The elemental damage from lets say headgears or arde dagger do not give extra hits.

Why priest 3? Is it link to chap? And is the damage based on int or str?

You can only advance to chaplain if you are a priest3 already.
dmg is based on spr and int. We need a real chaplain here to explain how the stats scale though.

  1. Comes and go.

  2. Sacrament. Priest C3 > Chaplain.
    Sacrament + Last Rite + Aspergillium + Cafrisun + Normal attack = 5 hits.

  3. Monster armor and element type affects your damage.
Sword = Slash, Club = Strike.

  4. Blessing is affected by INT and SPR.
    Formula is ((15.5+3.9Skill level-1)+(INT0.02 + SPR*0.06)*Skill level-1)

Cafrisun gives you an extra hit with 12 damage.

Last rite gives you the buff of a Lv 1 Sacrament, increasing its level only increases duration.

Sacrament = Base attack + Holy atk + Additional damage = more than 80 damage per hit. Since tooltip only shows Holy atk + Additional damage causing others to think it only does 80.

Normal attack is scale off STR, Blessing is INT+SPR, Sacrament and others can be increased by property attack.

I’m trying to do a Miko at rank 3 cleric atm. Just got advance and was thinking two priest ranks then miko…yet the hits from priest seems to be 1 additional if I don’t go chap…might not go priest now…need to recalculate approach

You can have a look at my builds, pick one and change it as you like.

Another solid build would be

Cleric C3 > Priest C1/Krivis C1 > Bokor C1 > Miko C1 > PD2

And with just this above build… You can tweak it and change into different combination… EG: Krivis C2 or Priest C2 and it goes on and on.

Still having headache with my own cleric. Since I’m trying to make my cleric do too many things at once instead of specializing lol.

Seems so…im playing around at tosbase with builds… heading towards Cleric C3…Priest C2…Miko…then stuck after that for the last 2…heard Plague doctor should be c2…yet i feel like im almost a full support build lol

That’s the problem with cleric class. When you are building, you first think that, “Hey, I would like to be DPS cleric!”

Slowly as you build, “Hmmm, maybe I should get more heal or maybe ress or maybe daino for buff.”

The more you tweak slowly it ends up as 60-70% support. Then you are like “Now I lack damage” and when you got DPS. You will think that “Hmm, I’m supposed to be healer anyway, the DPS role should go to others, maybe I should get more heal.”

When you get more heal, you think that “I want to do more DPS for easier questing though,”… and it goes on and on.

^ As someone with 12 Cleric characters, I have to say truer words were never spoken. xD That is indeed the life of a Cleric!

To add to this answer the 4th question from OP the extra damage you see on other gear with a few exceptions only function to add to the damage of those 5 attacks.

Meaning the 153 fire damage on the Arde Dagger for instance adds that 153 (Fire Damage) x 5 (MAX hits) = 765 before any modifiers such as Crit, Resistances, and or buffs/debuffs.

Resistances will take effect for each piece of gear dependent on the type of magic attack it is. Less resistance means you will deal more damage more resistance means you will deal less damage each attack.

This means it can be good to go all one damage type and switch sets or diversify your damage so your never too invested in one damage type.

Crit can double your damage it can also double your damage for spells which is insane in comparison to many other modifiers which is why its very much favorited for most builds at the moment.

Debuffs are interesting if you go Inquisitor for instance you can get Breaking Wheel which spreads all your damage lines to all enemies in range quite amazing rank 8 class/skill.

Conviction a pally ability will reduce enemies magic resistance considerably this also works with Breaking Wheel.

Other skills would be several Monk abilities like Armor Break or Freeze which can eliminate a targets armor or increase you damage by a percent 50% in freezes example Armor Break works with breaking wheel not sure about Freeze though.

how about enchant fire scroll?

my current build is Cleric C3…now Priest C1…current as we speak. I have the Cafrisun set, blessing…yet I read here physical counts as 1 hit as well, yet when i do blessing is still two hits…yet more damage. Thought would be 3 hits with physical.

my stats are int/con 4:1 ratio. seems heals are hitting hard with lvl 15. Not sure how much difference the int does to it. Assuming int increases the damage on all magic based skills.

Yet…might go priest C2…might go Krivis for more buffs and lighting attack…not sure atm.

Blessing adds damage to every first physical hit or skill hit. It doesn’t give you additional hit count.

Haha well basically alot of people explained here already. Im just gonna give my own insights.
Blessing acts abit like arde dagger’s fire property attack. Anything that says “xx property attack” is a form of damage that gets added into every single hit, every single line of attack. So if your cure hits 10 times, blessing & property attack is added to all 10 hits. But blessing is an end damage addition and does not get multiplied by anything. In short they dont add extra hits themselves, but more hits benefit more from blessing and property attack since every hit will have +blessing and is improved by property attack.

the things that do add extra attacks ( to your auto attacks only) are sacrament(priest) and last rites(chaplain)… I believe enchant fire(pyro) and enchant lightning(enchanter) acts the same as well. They each add an extra line of attack to your auto attacks, at the same time these buffs provide property attack. Those extra attacks are the same like cafrisun set, they cannot be improved with pdmg or mdmg. But its improved by property attack and always carry blessing dmg. So in short, sacrament adds an extra 40 dmg attack in your AA but will appear as 80 because of sacra’s own 40 holy property attack being added to that extra line as well as everything else. Lolol i hope i dont sound too complicated.

As for chaps aspergillum it also appears as another extra line of attack on your AA but it uses aspersion’s magic damage. its improved by both spr and int. Because spr has direct scaling formula with apsersion, 1spr= +1dmg. But aspersion is magical so it gets improved by magic attack so int also improves its dmg. So how people get 5 attacks? AA+sacra+LR+aspergillum+cafri. And this triggers blessing and elemental property attacks 5 times.

Blessing only adds to the first line of your normal attack, no matter your hit counts.

Blessing adds to every hits of skill attack.

Property attack adds to all lines.

Really? I thought i remember seeing it trigger on every hit

Nah :… or I shall go test it right now to double confirm, I quited Priest for quite a long time, my memory is fuzzy xD
