No Point In Buying Better Weapons?

Hi, I was doing my usual quest leveling then i realized i wasn’t wearing my weapon. more surprising is that the damage of my skills didnt change or at least What’s they they didnt noticeably. Only my normal attacks were affected by unequipping my weapon. Here’s a video using my archer without anything on except for my bow.

skill used for demo: critical shot

this may mean buying the better weapon for leveling asap may not be a better investment of silver. as far as weapons with higher attack are concerned, that is.

I’ve been testing and I still can’t believe it even until now. I really hope this is a bug. I’ll reach 120 soon so i can try this out with a new weapon

Critical Shot needs a bow to be equipped. Because you have weapon swap attribute and you place your bow at a weapon switch place on the right of chat box, you will auto-equip your bow when you used a skill that required a bow to be used.

In other means, when you used skill at “No Weapon” part of the video, you actually using your bow(You can see it cleary at 1:35).

i see thanks! tho i realized weapons only add flat amount to the damage. looks like under certain circumstances, investing on attributes would be more cost-efficient

Weapons dont just add flat damage. Weapon damage is also multiplied by crits and attribute damage, as well as monster type weakness.

With your 20% attribute bonus you would get 120% out of your weapon damage, and then on a crit that weapon damage would turn into 180%.

Keep that in mind, more weapon damage is always good to have, it’s just you also get a lot of base attack from the skill itself, and stats.

Yeah the item’s extra effects are what’s most important. It’s why I use a lv 75 spear with critical attack at lv 130 for example.

Your skills have considerably higher damage compared to your base damage. You would have to have a lot of points in strength to see a big difference. On my swordsman I’m full dex so i have only 15 base str and even when im completely naked I can still kill mobs at a descent speed.

I made this video earlier for another post but it shows the same thing.
