Newt Armor Sets - some General Questions

Hello people of the forums!

So we know that we can get Newt Recipes [ https://tos.neet.tv/items?name=newt&group=Recipe&f=1 ]
and some Materials from a chest in Martuis Storarge Room.

I’ve got a few Questions here:

Are there more ways to get them or are all recipes available through names chest?

Where do you find Cronewt Leather[ https://tos.neet.tv/items/645459 ]?
(As the name implies most likely from Cronewt mobs but possible to be dropped by all of them like e.g. from those in the Sunset Flag Forest?)

I’ve seen some of the Armors here and there and would like to know how to get the stuff to make them.

I hope someone could tell me and thank you in advance!

the boots comes from the minigame where you have to jump around.

the other armors are either obtained from the chest that is always locked (theres a way to unlock the chest by memorizing the numbers when reading books or something in that map) or from monster drops (i dont think the other 3 pieces drop only from that locked chest so im just guessing here)

ive never seen cronewt leather

From what I know.

Platform minigame at South side of the map: Drops Talt, materials and recipes. I’ve seen gloves, boots and bottoms recipes drop from here. I guess it can drop all recipes but Top and bottom ones seems rarer.

Like joeswaaz mentioned, there’s gimick involving books, but it’s more about reading them in the correct order to obtain a buff, the order will be randomized each day or time you try, not sure. With the buff you should be able to see a “gap between dimensions” that appears randomly in the map and you’ll get a recipe or material from this. The issue is that the gap is public and takes some time to respawn after someone grabbed it, so you might be wasting your time if someone already did this before you.

About the already mentioned closed chest on the north side of the map, I really dunno how to open it.

On the West side of the map there’s a lone magic circle but haven’t found its use.

My guess is that each side of the map (West, North, East and South), has a gimmick that will reward you with materials or recipes.

Interesting! I hope so that all recipes could be dropped from there, and it seems to be possible. I hope to find a Top rec to be able to confirm it or to hear from someone getting one there!

This place really has some more puzzles to solve but hopefully those are unrelated to the Newt Sets.

Except among those lies the Cronewt Leather? I’ve heard from some it is not implemented yet, which would be a bummer :S

Of course it may be totally KTEST-exclusive bug but something tells me it isn’t ¯\ _ (ツ)_/¯

Oh well, guess that confirm it is a bug. The Cronewt mobs haven’t dropped the leather at all so far, if it was implemented we would see at least some on market.

Still, might as well stack on materials for the newt gear for the time being, 1 possible mat per day per gimmick per character is not much unless you have a lot of characters.
