Newbie with Linker Skill Questions

So I’m trying to do a build centered around the Linker class. I just had a couple questions to make sure I’m reading the skill texts correctly.

  1. Does Joint Penalty scale with AoE attacks? Meaning if I link a mob together, and then use an AoE skill, will it basically multiply the AoE’s damage based on the number of enemies linked?

  2. Do skills such as Reflect Shield pass on to allies when using Spiritual Chain?

  3. Umbilical Cord says it uses the highest abilities between you and the linked allies. Does this mean that when the linked Ally uses a skill, you mimic that skill automatically to deal damage as well?

I know these are probably dumb questions, but I just want to make sure I don’t misinterpret the information and go to build something that mechanically doesn’t work the way I thought it would xD.

  1. No. JP just use to increase number of enemies you can hit. It does has a aoe df ratio debuff.
  2. no, Reflect Shield already a party buff. very fill useful buffs can use with this skill.
  3. abilities mean stats (Str, Dex, …)

just look for detailed mechanic guide in this forum

Ah, okay. Cause in the skill video for Umbilical Cord it shows the guys he’s linked to use an attack, and then the Linker attacks after dealing similar damage. So I wasn’t sure.
