Does offhand weapon affect the skill damage or just skill that using offhand?

With 1 handed + offhand there will be extra gem socket compared to 2handed, will it makes 1 handed stronger if im using high star gems?

Bonus stats from off-hand weapon is added to your character and would affect main hand’s attack. The base attack on secondary only affect skills that uses them.

2H melee have a hidden +10% damage modifier so unless your offhand bonus off-set the difference in base damage (which makes it larger with trans) as well as that 10% modifier then it’s a no.
based on your 2nd answer, that 10% only for melee?
To my knowledge, yes, Staff/Bow does not have this bonus, only 2H Sword and 2H Spear.
Though I’m not sure if it’s the same after the combat revamp, at least I haven’t seen anything as comprehensive as we had for the current system just yet.
2h bow has +100% dmg against flying. offhand+2green gem lv7 is 114 critrate more than 2h bow

that extra bonus from gem makes me in dilemma between 1h or 2h. btw for endgame weapon how many socket do 1h+offhand get? four?
hunting ground 1h sword can have 4 slot iirc
If you really want to go that far, orange xbow 3slot and orange pistol is 3 slot too
