Newbie here : so at end-game, is ~+95 additional holy damage technically better than ~120 m atk

i hear that most mobs at end-game take double damage from holy damage, so technically wouldnt ~95 additional holy damage be equivalent to ~190 m atk? why or why not?

There is a difference between “additonal property damage” and “normal property damage”. Just like Cafrisun differs from normal earth attacks.
We need some expert here to explain it.

Things like Cafrisun, Arde, Sacrament add an actual extra melee hit like you actually swung 3 times in melee as the element listed on top of your normal attack. Then things like blessing get added into every “hit” of something. So if you hit four times it would do 4x95 and the damage from bless typically doesn’t get mitigated or miss. You can see this by being low level then attacking monsters higher than your base level which usually will always hit for 1 damage because of the level difference damage mods.

I have not tested it since the int/spr damage patch though so it might have changed.

arde doesn’t add a hit
and for the OP - holy property is not better than 120 magic attack.
However, holy property might be better than magic amp and is definitely better than any other elemental attack. (except dark)
btw only demons take double damage from holy prop,
the higher your attributes the better magic attack gets.
With 100% attribute, magic attack technically gets doubled

Afaik, elemental damage is also affected by attributes so it’s better than raw magic damage unless you have Quick cast or % skills like RCs

imho, matk will always be better than elemental. (having both would be nice, of course). especially in R8 content where mob mdef are above 2k. you need all the matk you can find.

It’s unlikely to get magical attack + magic amplification + high holy damage property in the same hair costume xD.
Some people say magic amplification is useless but others rather consider the average damage and not the 1-140.
