I’d still recommend either saving your shards for the Pygry or using them on the shield, but overall as long as you have the 315 items you can always transcend later. 
i cant Transcend 315 items it becomes untradable =(
i have two Hoplite3 borrowing each others gears each of the have Geras Spear =)
Save your shards and go all in on one of your characters, you need to, to stay relevant in the late game content. Don’t transcend your Geras, just keep sharing that until you the equipment you want.
Hey guys, since you’re discussing weapons for hop goon, what would you guys say about going hop 2 corsair goon 2 instead of hop 3 Doppel goon 2 in terms of group PvE viability (say ET and 315 dungeon) once the new buffs to corsair arrive?
I mean, is spear throw relevant enough a source of damage to compensate for the missile damage to your pt + extra looting?
Hop3 for me Im Using Spear Throw only they hate dethone Knockback =)

Not recommended. Spear Throw is an amazing filler, the additional Finistra is a great buff, and Stabbing can do some heavy damage even in the later game. You’ll already be juggling skills and adding another class will just worsen the problem. Hoplite will continue to out DPS Corsair, and even with the additional utility of Corsair I’d still go with Hoplite. If you’re also not going Doppel then you miss out on even more. The DOV buff is coming too which will make it another great buff for additional damage, Cyclone is still a decent filler plus DPE and/or Mordschlag for some extra CC. Corsair will be more viable, and it’ll be interesting to see a more support oriented Swordsman class, but I still recommend Hoplite and Doppel.
The day CC on skills becomes toggle able is the day my life is complete. CC actually harms some skills and allowing CC to be toggle able would be really interesting as it would to allow players to customise their builds further. (Plus the way CC works on Dethrone doesn’t even make sense half the time.)

what about the corsair buff + the new sub weapons on hunting grounds? wouldn’t that make corsair good now?
The dagger is roughly on par with Karacha, but even with Lionhead, Corsair will fall behind. One of Dragoons strengths comes from the ability to use either 2H Spear, or 1H Spear and Shield. The 2H Spear provides raw damage, and the 1H Spear and Shield for sustained DPS, survivability, and utility. That leaves 1H Spear and Dagger at a disadvantage, you lose the damage of the 2H Spear, and the survivability/sustained DPS of the Shield. Relying on a situational buff to do only on par damage is simply worse.
