New version FPS drop

Hi,

In the latest version (as of last night after the 24 hour maintenance window) my game has dropped from a solid 150-200fps down to 30-60fps even in low mode.

I’m guessing something changed with the graphics mode because before my rivatuner stats wouldn’t show but now they do. Also, now there is no difference in performance between windowed mode and full screen.

Really at 30fps I just can’t play the game.

I have 2 x GTX 970s in SLI but they’re not really under load.

Anyone have any ideas?

It’s server that tweaks something that effect some of system to drop FPS, doesnt mean you using super-com will get better…
Indeed there is FPS drop after the update…

I can feel the game is much laggy for me too.
FPS jumping like crazy @_@

Wow… It got even worse now? @Staff_Julie @STAFF_Ethan it seems there are more and more FPS problems appearing

Man … my setup is running really well, despise the fact that I don’t have any dedicated video card. My fps is around 50-55(questing) and 20-24 min( inside klaipedia ).
Looking at some posts people figured out that the game is builded around DX9 and this implies that cpus with fewer, but powerfull, cores might work better with the game, the struggle isn’t fault of your video cards, but you might have to look for OC tools to improve your fps twiking cpu cores.

setup: I5 6600K, 16GB RAm ddr4, SSD as hard-drive.

Me too. My game works well

My settings are acting weird, but this started before the maintenance. Some options are inverted. For an example, if I check the AA filter, it actually disables it, and the other way around.

  1. In your Steam Library, Right click on Tree of Savior and then click on Properties.
  2. Click on the Local Files Tab
  3. Click Browse Local Files
  4. Click on the “release” Folder
  5. Look for user.xml
  6. Open user.xml with a text editor program preferably Notepad ++
  7. Look for BitPerPixel=32 change that to BitPerPixel=16
  8. Save the changes made and enjoy improved FPS

That still doesn’t explain the drop. I’m running 8 cores at 4.0Ghz, 16GB RAM and 2xGTX970 in SLI. Really I should be getting 30fps after the update. And honestly before the update it was awesome - the high FPS was one of the things I loved about this game!

Even at 16 bits per pixel its down to 40-45fps - it’s just when there are lots of monsters on screen

I reinstalled from scratch (removed local content then redownloaded 7GB) but no change.

Uninstall or even change ur super-com/network wont work, its all about the server issue after 24hr server-down ydt…

yeah - I also tried disabling SLI but no luck :frowning:
