Hello Everyone! I am new to the game. I been doing some research on this forum. There are LOTS of different builds. I am not after PVP. I just want to explore the world and PVE. I am 27 atm and I have gond Swordsman 1 >> Swordsmans 2. For skills I have done Thrust 5, Gung Ho 5, Concentrate 5 and Pain Barrier 5. I am just not sure if this is the right path… For stats I have been 1 str and 1 dex non stop. Should I restart my character and find a different path or can I keep going with what I have done?
Sword 2 is not the way you should go for PvE
I can tell you right now that for most builds Swordsman 2 is really lackluster. Gung Ho, Concentrate, and Thrust all fall off later on. Thrust is usually there as filler until you get a better piercing option, either through skills or even just using spears/Spiked Mace. More duration on Pain Barrier is always nice but Restrain and Pommel Beat are mediocre at best.
There are three general ways you can go about your DPS. You can go Two Hand route with some combination of Highlander/Barbarian/Doppel or Hopelite/Cataphract/Dragoon. You can go Dual wield with most everything plus Corsair. You can carry a shield and deal damage with one handed weapons.
The twohand and dual wield will deal more damage than carrying a shield but just one rank of Peltasta or Rodelero will let you hold C to block most every physical attack.
You should decide on how you want to do your DPS and plan out from there. The biggest deciding factor for swordsman is to figure out which kind of weapon you want to use and build around that.
Thank you Slots. I was thinking of focusing on 2hand sword or spear. So should i reroll or is it possible to continue with what I have currently?
Reroll in:
Sw1/Pelt1/Hop3/Dopp1/Dragoon for spears
or smth like
Sw1/Pelt1/HL3/Dopp2 for swords
Or even better check the swordsman forum tree and lurk for 2 biggest epic threads about swordsman class and pick smth you like from there. Have fun.

Go with this one then and the stats will be 4 str/2 con/1 dex. Thats the build i play actually
