New to Archer builds, how do these Cannoneer builds look?

Hi there! I have been pestering the Wizard build section for quite some time now so I though I would come and ask about builds here too. I noticed that this thread has several ideas for Cannoneer, but I didn’t want to just jump on that thread will a whole bunch of questions and take it over so I thought I should make my own :stuck_out_tongue:

Here are my two build ideas (I really have no idea how functional they are):

I have no idea if these class builds even work with Cannoneer, and I also have no idea if the skills I chose are right for each class. The only thing I am somewhat certain on is that Archers go for like a 2:1 Str/Dex ratio for stats, but even that could be wrong haha.

Thanks for your time! Any comment is appreciated

Take falcone rif you take archer 3…

But these work too.

Only stuff I would change in your Archer build is I’d get at least 1 Oblique Shot, Heavy Shot and Full Draw. Oblique Shot for farming, Heavy Shot for knock back in PvP and Full Draw for the immobilize and defense decrease attribute. I’d probably take out points from Swift Step since the most important part of that skill is the crit attribute anyway, the other stuff is just a bonus.

For the Ranger build, I’d max out Spiral Shot because it tears through bosses really quick. Also multi hit skills scale way better than single hit skills. I’d probably take them from Time Bomb Arrow since I didn’t really like that skill when I tried Ranger out.

For the QS build, I’d remove all but 1 skill point from Teardown and put 1 skill point on Stone Shot around 3-5 on Stone Picking and the rest on Deploy Pavise.

For Cannoneer, if you’re going GvG then I’d just put 1 skill point on Shootdown and the rest on Siege Burst. If you don’t have plans to do GvG then leave it as it is.

Also for stat allocation, there are people going for ~100-120 Dex and then full Str after. Idk how good it is though.

GvG we fight massive people not tw

Yes, yes you do. But since there are no flying type characters, Shootdown is useless. Also you need to destroy enemy towers to win GvG. Which Seige Burst does a good job of.

For Archer, If I instead only put 8 points into Swift Step (39 second duration so I have a few seconds to recast to maintain crit buff), and If I likely won’t do any PvP, where should those extra points go? 1 into Full Draw and the others into Oblique? Also, is Oblique better than Twin Arrows?

For Ranger, should I put 5 from Time Bomb into Spral Shot and the other 5 into High Anchoring?

Thank you!

Remember that the crit attribute for Swift Step increases it’s CD. So you’d need at least level 9 to have it up 100% of the time. Even If you’re not going to do PvP, Heavy Shot does +50% damage to Plate armor units. So that’s always a handy thing to have. I would never max out Oblique because the additional damage you get is not worth the cost of mana you have to expend. As for Oblique vs. Twin Arrows, they have different uses. Oblique is more of a farming skill because you get to hit 2 different targets at once. While Twin Arrow hits 1 target twice. Also Twin Arrow does 50% more damage to Cloth armor units. For the extra skill points, I would either put the rest on Swift Step (just cause I have nowhere else to put them) or Full Draw if I can make it reach level 7 for 1 tap casting.

I would max out Spiral Shot and leave the 5 on Time Bomb Arrow. High Anchoring is ■■■■.
