You cannot use base camp in dungeons

I’m of the same opinion that Squire is the far superior tanking class, especially once the level cap raise’s again. The food buffs are just so good and mobile repairs and a TP base camp are so good.

Dumb question, but how does Slithering block magic damage, I cant find anywhere that says its attributes or skill does? Hidden mechanic? bug?

I’m just wondering why Squire is considered a tanking class?
Food buff can be bought from other Squire and we can repair at NPC.

@SecondNoob Yes it’s sort of like a “hidden mechanic”. There’s tons of videos floating around about this on these forums already, do a quick search and you’ll see.

@nuzulspyware08 In actual combat, the Squire class alone doesn’t offer much in terms of reducing damage taken. What it does offer though, is Arrest to stop enemies (including bosses) from moving, plus one of its attributes decreases defense, not that it does much though. The main point of Squire is for convenience, so you don’t have to go back to town and repair / buy buffs, because all of those things take up time.

Combat wise Fencer is still superior as a tank.

Squire needs to be able to repair in dungeons. That’s all there is to it. Once this happens, they will be great in parties. As it is now, they just aren’t worth as much. It saddens me, as it’s one of my favorite classes in the game.

I don’t quite follow this. I’m a squire and I’ve been repairing mine and all my mates whilst in dungeon.

Unless of course, there’s something I don’t know here lol. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

This is definitely not an optimal tank build as warned in my OP, just one for pure convenience to reduce downtime while grinding on the way to 280.

Hold up! So you mean to tell me that fencer is a meta tank?

@Vanic
Sorry OP edited, yes you can repair in dungeons. Added source.

@Firefly
Fencer’s the best class to tank at high levels, it’s got skills that increase evasion and block for short durations and also Flanconnade which provides a very brief invulnerability status upon use.

That’s new…and about darn time. This is a game changer. Time to make a Squire.

Ah I see. It seems it doesn’t work with queue groups, and only with premade. This is a ridiculously stupid feature. I really hope they change this.

because arrest is better than all of rodelero and peltast ccs combined

Food buffs can not be bough from a squire, a squire may give it to players outside for free.

They can open up a shop at the squire refreshment table, however they can not give anything a price, so it has to be free.

This is pretty expensive to do, around ~50k to setup and give out 10 salads.

It’s around ~25k to open the camp + table.

Higher level base camp = higher duration of foods and buffs used in the vicinity of the base camp. I highly recommend maxing it as it brings food time from 30 min to 1 hour.
