Defense minus 65? Disgusting… and the other ones are just not good…

pseudo windrunners that give 91 evasion, mov speed 2 and hp, i think they are good just for the 2 mov speed
Sorry, I was thinking PvP as a cata.
Cute for questing and stuff though. The other ones are nice to grind magic mobs too.
Korvos for general PvE. Greytis for running. And I’m finding which mobs drop craft mat for these shiny sneakers
I’d trade 65 phys defense for 100 magic defense any day TBH. Hell, I’d trade 65 phys defense for 65 magic defense.

duno, 2 mov speed or magic defense… i guess i end up with both lol one to use against physical mobs and the other against magic mobs
the only downside of the boots, is that the new transcendence system will not boost the mdef from stats, at least i think so.
because if we could use the system with items who already have a good base Mdef, would be something really nice to see for swords, we could finally boost Mdef in values that would allow swordsman to really tank Mdamage without the need of going all out in con.
Can’t you use it on bracelets and talismans?

I’m really not sure.That’s quite the trade off with physical defense.If I had another piece of equipment to offset that loss,then I’d definitely go with the 101 MDEF boots.

I actually did get both, the Greytis recipe was a bitch to farm. But not nearly as much of a bitch as the Stropy Cannon I still haven’t gotten with top kills on the server.

Ohgmar Gauntlets
Superior Korvos Greaves
Rhevisan Bracelet x2
Didel Tower Shield
No luck with Didel and Rhev recipes though 
2 greaves and a gauntlet are all the new Swordie gears all shoehorn us to plate armor(not that I’m particularly against it). I hope we also get some kind of cloth and leather sets for more diverse options.
Actually there are 2 gloves (and 2 more if we count their lesser versions) and they’re quite nice.
Ohgmar Gauntlets increases Strike damage against Leather
Demonas Gauntlets increases Slash damage against Plate
According to archefayte, the increase is at 20-30%. So assuming it’s 25%, then that means they would negate the damage vs armour type penalties for Slash and and Strike skills.
There’s also a Lv.270 version for the Strike one currently not released in iTOS. (not sure about Slash, I didn’t check 
)
You’re right about the shoehorning though. But IIRC, these were created due to the complaints about Wizards being able to wear the same armours as Swordsmen.
I wouldn’t even mind if archers got class-specific leather and wizards got class-specific cloth. Would be better than “everyone wears plates, and Swordies get better plate”.
