Oh my god if this is true imma reroll my goddem Dragoon for this.
But tbh it illogical for a samurai to be dual wielding.
It basically freehand that switch between 1 hand or 2 hand depending on situation.

there have been some infamous stories, particularly musashi, who are well known for fighting or teaching fighting with two swords. in this case, his trademark was a longsword and a ācompanionā sword, such as the wakizashi. the companion sword was used defensively and for grappling othersā weapons. as the tall tale goes, he fought a crowd of people using two swords rather than one and walked away without a scratch.
but his most famous is probably the duel won purely off of psychological strategy. wooden sword of massive length fashioned from the boat used to travel to the destination to the duel, and purposely late enough to throw the opponentās mindset off ā and other details i donāt exactly recall.
Iāll just add to it that multiple Parrying Dagger/Sword variations where used in Europe and Asia too. (No correction, just an addon)
I actually learned to use small Butterfly Swords though using a Wakizashi off-hand is more like how Eskrima operates.
BTW: Do foreign schools even teach Musashis (or successed/āenhancedā) dual wielding? I mean there are a small number of schools that even teach any Dual Wielding since itās harder than most other things.
He wasnāt a samurai, he was a swordsmaster. He didnāt serve a daimyo and he was famous for his dual-wielding sword stance that was foreign to the other swordsmaster at the time. That fight youāre saying was Ganryujima where he defeated another popular swordsman, Kojiro Sasaki by being late by about 5 hours building a long sword equal to Kojiroās Drying Pole (a Nodachi) from his oar and according to some sources, used the flash of the nearly-setting sun to blind Kojiro to his defeat.
Dual-wielding was way more popular in Europe, with Fencers/duelists using Main Gauche (gauche meaning left hand) to parry attacks.
corsair c3 is already a GGO-kirito build coz they use 1h sword+pistol

i wud not recommend corsair c3 thoā¦but if u want it then i wont stop u xD
thanks for the clarification. but as far as inspiration goes, heās seen as legend of that time period and is just as figuratively important as any samurai. also, I heard that in the duel the wooden sword was slightly longer, and musashi held it in a way that hid its true length in the sun and point of view facing him.
either way, 2h or 2 1h samurai class would be awesome for this game. and on a side note, perhaps future classes will bring enough to the table to even balancing out a bit. it couldnāt be too hard: give each class rank meant for damage one or more large # of hit skill with decent damage per hit, give good buff optionally, equalize damage-increasing attributes other than the skill damage ones, etc.
Am I the only one who knows this guy?
But seriously Iāve been dreaming of having a samurai class in this gam. I hope they gib it to us.
so, this class isnāt gonna go well with my 2h Dop is itā¦?
This thread is still a speculation but if its real your youāre dopp would probably benefit from the said buffs
Iron Will - toggle skill but whatās the āamount you loseā?
Susano - this one is confusing and weird. It gives you some ghost armor and some magic def. But ghost armor receive +50% magic attack so this skills is useless
Magic casting swordsman confirmed
Now I read it again and realize that loss SP is added onto attacks. But who builds SPR Swordie just to use 1 skill?
ā¦the pros
Iām looking forward seeing how the pros build character revolving around Samurai. But there is one thing Iām certain that they will drink expensive Lv10 SP pots like a thirsty desert survivor
āSword of the strangerā??
with an item similar to the effects of animus but spr based some probably would
ill put more thought into my next made up class so it has less plot holes
Yeah. Nanashi. Itās one of my favorite anime fight scenes. Pure skillzzzzzzz
