Hi returning player here, so now SR been moved to Scout class im a bit lost on which path to take. Any ideas?
SW means Schwarzer Reiter to you? Most will think you mean Swordsman.
Anyways if it’s pure farming I recommend SR - Thauma - Corsair.
Why not Corsair - Enchant - SR?
Played around with Schwarzer Reiter builds quite a bit in the past few days and so far I find SR-Enchanter core, which leaves a 3rd class to choose from.
Corsair or Outlaw are both great choices, Corsair is pretty straight forward and boosts your damage while having a fairly good damage skill. Outlaw is the more defensive choice with its evasion and blind (pretty much never get hit even if you stand still), and Rampage is actually a pretty good aoe, just wish the cd werent so long.
You could also go Thaumaturge if you plan on focusing mostly on farming, but I didnt care too much for the class with Re:Build myself.
Does these classes are also great for leveling?
I’ll vouch for the SR - Enchanter for farming. Enchanter main boosts your attack, and boosts SR’s massive AOE attacks. My SR can’t handle tougher mobs, so I tackle mobs that are 10-20 below my level and I could kill really quick.
Since SR and scout in general are squishy-mc-squishy-pants, I suggest a defensive/evasive job as your 3rd, like Outlaw or Rogue to further boost your SR’s evasion. (It can get to ridiculous levels of dodge).
Otherwise, you can pick either Thauma or Linker for support. Parties would love either.
For pure farming it’s hard to beat Linker Thauma X, there’s a whole suite of videos on youtube showing off all the classes you can combo it with basically. Check it out here
I’m looking into Ench > Outlaw > SR for my Scout alt but I have some questions.
-
How does Limacon work exactly? The tooltip says pistol attacks become available during its duration but does that mean you can’t use SR’s other pistol skills if its not up?
-
Since SR’s DPS skills are all single use, would it be worth it to invest in Oblique Shot from Scout? The build is skill based so I wouldn’t want to be stuck auto-attacking with my sword.

SR and Outlaw seem to rely on pistols for their damage. Could I safely consider my sword to be just a stat stick or should I be concerned about enhancing/transcending it in the same way I would on another class?
1.- No, limacon is abuff to AA that you need to press the secondary attack… you dont need to have limacon to use other SR skills, but its highly recomended that you constantly have it up and maxed…
2.- Main rotation of skills will be marching fire and then holding Z or “Y botton on joystick”… for boss is caracole for the debuff that boost your damage and then more AA+marching fire…Some ppl like to have retreat shot, but imo its not that needed, maybe you would like it so try it out at least…
3.- its just a stat stick, even for corsairs, so safe there, no anvil or trans needed…
For 2, marching fire disable you from AA. The best dps output is actually caracloe + retreat shoot + AA, to do that you need to find a wall of course.
You are completely right… for pure dps to a boss that is, and its TONS of dmg… but for farming and overall PvE, retreat shot dont have a “good” use at least for me… Also, every1 can reroll the skills “fairly” simple with RE system, so its more of a style of play rather than a hard choice now…
hi guys, sometimes I confuse which one better, swatzher or bm, I already try BM but not realy satisfied, swatzher ultimate and retreate deal more monster continously because low cd rather than BM, any ideas?
you can use retreat shot to gather enemy, the range is very far, almost full screen.
