Hey everyone, I just recently started playing and I decided I wanted to play a support-oriented wizard. I was wondering if, at the moment, which is the better support class to focus on, chronomancer or thaum?
The meta support for a wiz is cryo3 chrono3 sage1.
Cryo3 for frost pillar (attract mobs and freeze), and ice wall etc.
Chrono3 for haste(walking spd), quicken(atkspd) and pass(reduce cd).
The end-game instance, earth tower, pretty much requires a Cryo3 Chrono3. Thaum is nice to have in party, and definitely play it if you like it, but it’s certainly not as highly demanded as chrono.
Just don’t go for Sorc or Necro. Those are broken right now, wait for the patch.
Chrono3 is still pretty good (faster attacking/movement, cooldown reduction), but Thau3 gives your team 2k+ attack from buffs as well as a debuff on mobs that increases your damage by 2.2x, which is insane. If you want to be support you’ll definitely want either Chrono3 or Thau3 somewhere in your build.
